3 for 18 career vs broxton 5 K no Extra BaseHhits
Radar gun claims. .
Broxton just broke the sound barrier on that pitch
Could have put in Martin and had Martin bat 8th, too.

does having jon broxton raise the %
then like having someone like kevin gregg..
Yes, I’m sure it does. These are empirical numbers, but in most cases a closer is in for the leading team, so it won’t change much with Broxton. My guess is add another couple percent.

I thought
that WPA was based on historical results and was context sensitive and not player sensitive.
So even though in reality your odds of winning with a runner on second and Pujols hitting are probably better than if you had Juan Pierre hitting WPA has no way of knowing the quality of hitter or pitcher and only the historical probability of a run scoring.
[DELETED ZOMG NO POLITICS]
if Broxtons spot comes up in the line up his is hitting torre won’t take him out

Two words for the boss…the first starts with “f”, the 2nd with “o”.

Sometimes
she just likes to stop in to say “hi.”

An insurance run would be nice
I like all the bullpen moves by Torre today. I sign off on them. I just hope Brox can close ’em out.
I’m a nervous nelly!
well its a bit warranted as of late : )
my pulse is up
William Doolittle at your service, a.k.a. will do.
the only thing that can stop kemp right now is the damn wind.....
he is a man on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad day for Barmes, then
That’s 2 borderline errors on pretty much the same play. At least the scorer is consistent.
and Tracy slowing this game down
even more… zzz….
Meanwhile Don Mattingly gives Brox some hitting tips.
I’m calling it know Broxton will get a hit

Pitching change vs Broxton
must be first ever. Tracy must have no place to go after this game.

why are they bringing in a pitcher to face broxton
dont make sense
A RH vs RH? To face a closer?
Seems like overkill

But why take the risk?
Especially when Morales may be getting tired
is manny a part of the 50 walk club yet??
he was pretty close last time i checked and he has 2 walks today!
Hudson and Furcal are at 48, Kemp at 44
by Eric Stephen on Aug 27, 2009 3:18 PM PDT up reply actions
Morales was cruising. Doesn't make sense to me.
But whatever.
Ryan Spilborghs is
1 for 3 vs Big brox with 1 Home run!!! barmes 0 for 5 ianetta 0 for 4 with 3 K and toreabla is 1 for 9
F6 technically
Tulo caught it, though he was in short left field
wtf
ethier is 0 for 5 in the box score… i thought he just got a hit?
I want to light that stupid purple mascot on fire
Torrealba single
Did he really get him?!
if so i’m thoroughly disappointed.

The face of a man who just induced an easy groundout
by Eric Stephen on Aug 27, 2009 3:25 PM PDT up reply actions
It was a tough play, in his defense.
No way he was getting to the 2B bag, but he definitely could have gotten the out at 1st
Line out step on the base ;)
that’s what i’m banking on

I just want to say, I love auto-refresh. This would be so annoying if I had to keep hitting refresh every 5 seconds
Rockies announcers are blaming the shadow
while i’m sure it isn’t any help, I’m thinking EY Jr. struck out because of the Broxton heat
I'm nobody's fool, least of all yours
“Wow, when did they change back to Broxton?” :)

Nasty Nasty slider
today.
So we win 2 of 3 against the big bad Rockies in Coors. What is our record against them now? And we could easily have swept.
Get a grip you whiny fucks:)

almost a perfect outcome
though VP was insufficiently horrible to preclude another day of stealing a CH start….
Vicente Padilla
5 innings 6 hits 2 ER 1BB 4 K’s on 80 pitches what was so bad about that pitching performance

Just want to say
First must win series in SF: Dodgers win 2 of 3
Next must win in Colorado: Dodgers win 2 of 3
And winning 3 of 4 against the Cubs in between them.
Woot woot
