Yes, I’m sure it does. These are empirical numbers, but in most cases a closer is in for the leading team, so it won’t change much with Broxton. My guess is add another couple percent.

I thought

that WPA was based on historical results and was context sensitive and not player sensitive.

So even though in reality your odds of winning with a runner on second and Pujols hitting are probably better than if you had Juan Pierre hitting WPA has no way of knowing the quality of hitter or pitcher and only the historical probability of a run scoring.
