Class of 2009 making a statement - Top Dodger Prospect Performances and Minor League Box Scores - Aug 27th, 2009

Top 2009 draft Pick Aaron Miller pitched six innings of no hit ball while striking out five no with walks. The only blemish was HBP. It was the 2nd straight dominant performance by Aaron who is quickly becoming a favorite on TBLA. As Kensai pointed out in the comments, remember this is a 22 year old college pitcher dominating in Low A, not a couple of high school kids like Martin/Eovaldi so while the results have been fantastic we should temper the excitement just a bit considering the level of competition.

Trying to keep up with Aaron was Brett Wallach who struck out eight over three innings before tiring in the fourth.

Dee Gordon's injury was not serious and he was back in the lineup last night getting two hits including a triple.

Kenley Jansen with another shutout innings. He certainly seems to be getting plenty of work.
