Jesus Castillo Designated For Assignment To Make Room For Belliard
The Dodgers have designated righthanded pitcher Jesus Castillo for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for new acquisition Ronnie Belliard.
The 25-year old Castillo was 7-8 with a 4.38 ERA in 26 starts for Double A Chattanooga. The Dodgers have ten days to trade or release Castillo. There is a chance, if he clears waivers, Castillo could be outrighted to the minors, even though the Lookouts' season ends on September 7.

Also, The Nats have the worst record.
They might get first pick for Castillo, which makes it easier to complete a trade.
And to think my
favorite column of all time was making fun of Ned for not using Meloan and trading Boom Boom for Proctor.

Will Belliard by active today?
If so won’t there have to be another move to make room on the 25 man?
Inflamable bowel???
Sorry. The thirteen year old in me can’t resist…
