WIth the fires impacting many Southern California residents, if you have any comments to make or updates feel free to use this forum.
I just got this update from KCET:
From KCET minutes ago:
The wildfires in southern California are threatening not only communities near Angeles National Forest and Yucaipa but the flames are closing in on Mt. Wilson. That’s where the communication towers used by many of Southern California’s television and radio stations are located. Should the fires burn the towers, viewers who watch KCET over the air using antennas will lose our signal.
SoCal Connected’s Vince Gonzales, Angie Crouch and Val Zavala will anchor reports every half hour beginning at 1:30 PM today on KCET and KCET.org.
Should we lose our signal, we will stream many of our programs online at kcet.org.
KCET will also feature updates from the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, including mandatory evacuation orders listed by community name online here. KCET is also continually updating its Facebook and Twitter accounts.
If you have any questions about our signal, please contact our Viewer Services hotline at 1-866-523-8200.
The smoke is thick in Chatsworth even though we are far away from the fires. If you or your families are close to the flames, good luck. My ex-wife has a ranch in Acton so I hope things work out for them.
