Around SBN: The Most Dangerous Division in Sports

The only problem with True Blue is that Bruin Dodger Thoughts posters totally outnumber USC posters, but here on TB it seems to be the other way around. Here's a toast to the Bruins among us and to their great start in 2009. It wouldnt' be any fun if we weren't the underdogs.

I got your toast…right here!

Good job in Nashville representing the Pac 10. Even though you did have to beat up on a few ex Trojan assistants.

Fortunately

UCLA had the foresight to schedule the Cal game on 10/17, an off day for the NLCS.

And

after So Cal softens them up a little.

Winning

Could be that fans of USC football and UCLA basketball are simply fans of winning franchises and couldn’t care less about which college they are associated with? I mean how many of us actually went to UCLA or USC and are fans of those programs?

Not me, I became a UCLA basketball fan while watching Lou Alcindor and company win titles. I became a fan of USC football while watching OJ Simpson and Mike Garret. And of course the greatest individual 2nd half in college history. I was frying the chicken when Anthony went off and the screams from the fryers were not of pain from the burning of hot oil on my skin but from the breaking of Notre Dame’s back.

I was going to post this, too. That was a pretty cool story.

I did it

to spare USC fans the agony of watching Cal end Title hopes.

As an alternative

a well heeled USC alumnus (any other kind) could rent us a Dodger Suite so we can watch the Dodger game and the Cal game in style.

The Cal game will be in hand by the time of first pitch anyway :)

True

but for the DeJon Watson get together you will have to choose:)

Kind of odd that USC and UCLA both have road games in the bay area on the same day. Feels like a basketball trip.
