how the Dodgers can make such young and inexperienced pitchers look like veteran aces. Hopefully with 2 on here Pierre can make something happen.

Chris Gwynn hitting the game winning hit in ’96 has to be one of the most painful ex-Dodger moments ever.
I would agree, but only because I lived in SD and had to hear about that stupid game and series forever, even though it was a meaningless game (both clubs were in the playoffs already)
I think it would've been better for the Dodgers if they won.
The Dodgers were 8 and 4 against the Cards that year, while they were 7 and 5 against the Braves.
The difference is the A-Gon homer.
Dodgers will need to score before the 2nd out in the bottom of the 8th, or the Padres will just bring in Heath Bell to rain on our parade.

This is the time
where the Dodgers should be beating the ever-loving crap out of the teams they are playing. Too bad there are 3 sub .725 OPS starters in this team and the main pinch hitter is a black hole and Torre struts him out there like he is Saenz of 2006. Shoot, I miss 06 Saenz, he was the last main pinch hitter we had who wasn’t worthless.
Does anyone have any faith in Martin and Loney?
I’d love to keep some hope, but they are making it so damned hard. Anyone think the Dodgers get a new catcher, first baseman, or both by the start of the 2010 season?
