Looks like Belisario is warming up for the Dodgers

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 7:15 PM PDT reply actions

Stauffer is still pitching. Seriously?

by shoothoop on Sep 6, 2009 7:16 PM PDT reply actions

I don't understand

how the Dodgers can make such young and inexperienced pitchers look like veteran aces. Hopefully with 2 on here Pierre can make something happen.

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 7:18 PM PDT reply actions

Load the bases

for Ethier, I’m really ok with that, haha.

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 7:19 PM PDT reply actions

on Dodger Vision

Pierre is the 4th player in history to steal 100 bases for 4 different teams

Stadium is loud right now…although acoustics in the press box amplify things a bit

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 7:20 PM PDT reply actions

3-1

Come on, keep a good eye here, Juan.

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 7:20 PM PDT reply actions

That ball hung up too long.

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 7:20 PM PDT reply actions

Ughhhh

Pierre should get fined for hitting the ball in the air.

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 7:21 PM PDT reply actions

Playing a mix of Back in Black music with We Will Rock You lyrics.

Shockingly, I don’t hate it. But the originals are still 1000 times better

Gwynn teased the crowd there horrible route

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 7:30 PM PDT reply actions

Damn gwynn

Why couldn’t they have a slow CF?

by Yodasbrthr on Sep 6, 2009 7:30 PM PDT reply actions

God damn Tony Gwynn Jr

I’m not sure I’ve ever disliked a player more for doing so little.

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 7:30 PM PDT reply actions

Yodasbrthr was right.

Loretta at 1B
Kemp in CF
Belisario P, batting 2nd (Pierre)

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 7:31 PM PDT reply actions

From Tony, to Chris, to Tony Jr.

The Gwynn’s sure like to make the Dodgers suffer in one way or another.

by Nofatmike on Sep 6, 2009 7:31 PM PDT reply actions   1 recs

Chris Gwynn hitting the game winning hit in ’96 has to be one of the most painful ex-Dodger moments ever.

by Nofatmike on Sep 6, 2009 7:34 PM PDT up reply actions

I would agree, but only because I lived in SD and had to hear about that stupid game and series forever, even though it was a meaningless game (both clubs were in the playoffs already)

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 7:36 PM PDT up reply actions

I think it would've been better for the Dodgers if they won.

The Dodgers were 8 and 4 against the Cards that year, while they were 7 and 5 against the Braves.

by Nofatmike on Sep 6, 2009 7:40 PM PDT up reply actions

The difference is the A-Gon homer.

Dodgers will need to score before the 2nd out in the bottom of the 8th, or the Padres will just bring in Heath Bell to rain on our parade.

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 8:17 PM PDT up reply actions

a curious question indeed

how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop, and how do you lose to the padres in september in the heat of a pennant race…the world may never know

why do the charlotte bobcats always beat the lakers????

by shaqfor3 on Sep 6, 2009 8:20 PM PDT up reply actions

I can think of no greater way to ruin a night...

…than watching the Dodgers struggle against the Padres with Joe Morgan announcing.

I really hope we beat the living crap out of the D-Backs.

by shaqfor3 on Sep 6, 2009 8:19 PM PDT reply actions

Very discouraging and sad. Hello 3.5 games up and a lost series to the Padres at home.

by KSeal on Sep 6, 2009 8:20 PM PDT reply actions

Suchon is traveling with the team to AZ…It is Ken Levine and Steve Lyons tonight

by Eric Stephen on Sep 6, 2009 8:32 PM PDT up reply actions

This is the time

where the Dodgers should be beating the ever-loving crap out of the teams they are playing. Too bad there are 3 sub .725 OPS starters in this team and the main pinch hitter is a black hole and Torre struts him out there like he is Saenz of 2006. Shoot, I miss 06 Saenz, he was the last main pinch hitter we had who wasn’t worthless.

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 8:26 PM PDT reply actions

Like the Rockies are. They get the DBacks at home, they sweep them. We get the Padres at home, we lose 2 of 3.

by KSeal on Sep 6, 2009 8:29 PM PDT up reply actions

It’s a three game series and I’m expecting the same underachieving below average team we’ve seen for the past month and a half now. Which most likely means a series loss.

by KSeal on Sep 6, 2009 8:39 PM PDT up reply actions

Does anyone have any faith in Martin and Loney?

I’d love to keep some hope, but they are making it so damned hard. Anyone think the Dodgers get a new catcher, first baseman, or both by the start of the 2010 season?

by Ivdown on Sep 6, 2009 8:39 PM PDT reply actions

Loney has been hitting better as of late.

by shoothoop on Sep 6, 2009 8:46 PM PDT up reply actions

Martin and Loney

…will be everyday players in the Dodgers line-up in 2010. 100% guaranteed.
