Today is 10/10/10
Not quite the mark of the devil, but at least a lesser demon, right?
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man
kind of like the Yankees winning the World Series as opposed to the 12/12/12 of the Giants winning?

12/12/12 will be a glorious day
I will turn 23 on that day :) 23 is irrelevant by 12/12/12 is just awesome.

Don Orsillo brings up run support and Tommy Hunter, and Buck Martinez offers this gem:
Tommy Hunter was a winner in the minors, he was a winner in the majors. He just gives off an aura of someone that knows how to win.

Even though theyre not related, I always think of Keith Moreland when I see Mitch Moreland.
Keith flew out to Jose Gonzalez to end the 10th inning in San Diego in 1988, the out on which Orel passed Drysdale for most consecutive scoreless innings.
Keith also does color analysis for Texas Longhorn football so he can go fuck himself.

Big Panda’s offensive struggles combined with his defensive mediocrity forced the change. Mike Fontenot will start at third. “I think it’s fair to say Pablo is searching a little bit with his swing, so we made a change,” Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. “We did this a couple times late in the season.” Sandoval is 1-for-6 in the playoffs after hitting .214 with one home run over the last 25 games of the regular season.

I find this funny
MCC and the Cowboys blog on here are about the same.
That place is in DefCon 4 right now.
I am a Cowboys fan. I went over there for about 3 game minutes. I then deleted the address from my favorites.
I stay away from game threads for football especially
the Broncos SBN blog is otherwise pretty good but during games, it’s hard to deal with even if they’re winning because of the comment volume and when they’re losing like today people go bi-polar and suddenly want the coach fired, everyone benched, the team’s gonna lose by 30 next week, etc. It’s both hilarious and depressing. I forgot and checked today. Learned my lesson (again).

Bobby Cox is a god damned idiot. Unless he’s hurt or something, which he shouldn’t be on the roster anyway, he should have been in before Dunn came in the game. Probably before Kimbrel came in the game. Fucking bullshit.

Yes and my fucking point is was there no one else who was healthy that could have been put on instead who could have taken that spot? I mean literally no one? It’s not being dense, it’s fucking logic.
Here’s the fucking choice:
Take Saito, but he’s coming back from injury so don’t use him unless it’s the last person in the pen.

even if they were an option to use....
u wouldnt use the person anyways cause they are your LAST OPTION….. and u dont bring in the last option to close a 1 run game….
My point is if it was some scrub instead of Saito, I’d have been fine with him being used as the last option. But Saito’s got more talent and potential, even if he’s coming back from injury.
It just makes no sense to put Saito on the roster if he’s hurt and Cox doesn’t trust him.
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"
so what does it matter?
honestly your nitpicking somethign stupid
It matters because it makes no sense to have him on the roster if he's not going to be used unless it's last resort
if you are going to be worried about his injuries.
But if he was on the team he should have been used. That’s my whole entire point. I honestly couldn’t care less how big or small this was, it’s how I feel about it.
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"

That's my question
I don’t know the guidelines for the situation, but was Saito the last pitcher left that could have been put on the playoff roster? If not, take someone who’s healthy and who can be brought in to pitch.
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"
why does it mater
its not like that guy would come in and pitch in a 1 run game to save it anyways…
they brought in their best option
in their minds which was crimbrel and dunn against a lefty….
i think bobby cox knows more about the situation then we do…
It matters because they didn’t use Saito when he has the ability to be a better pitcher. If it was some other shitty pitcher who didn’t have that ability I wouldn’t have cared if they didn’t bring him in.
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"

Conrad by far I’d guess. Though I’m not happy with the bullpen management.
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"
the only problem with the bullpen was the walk to ishikawa, and the slider to sanchez, other than that they did fine. Hard to criticize the hit to huff, who got lucky with a hit off the end of the bat, and obviously if conrad can field that ball (they don’t get much easier than that), it’s a tie game
ivdown is talking about a different bullpen management...
he thinks saito should have been brought in to start the 9th…
but bobby probably knows much more then us…
great
now the phillies are on…
and worst of all… cole hamels is pitching… and ruiz is playing and victorino is leading off…
