I really want to watch the NLCS. While part of me wants them to do really well, how HILARIOUS would it be for both of them to get lit up?

But who do you root for to homer first off Lincecum

and I think Placido Polanco just might edge out Roy Halladay

It would be funny if Ruiz did it. In an ironic, I-hate-that-guy way.

I dodn’t get to watch the first of the game last night. I was at dinner. Couple of observations, if I may.

Nolan Ryan bringing gas with the ceremonial first pitch was awesoke.

Jorge Cantu has no business playing. After an electric April, he has been trash.

I don’t understand why you throw all of those pitchers and don’t pitch Feliz n the 8th.

If we had an even average D

He will develop a more complete offensive game.

I wouldn’t look at how raw he is now on the offensive end and believe he won’t develop a solid back to the basket game and even a passable jump shot

It’s funny, I actually forgot that Griffin was really good. Last season, I didn’t watch any pre-season Clippers because the Dodgers were still playing meaningful baseball. So I haven’t really seen his play since Oklahoma. I’ve been pumped with what I’ve seen.

That play by Torres was the way I wish Kemp would play in CF

He went back hard on the ball, got to the spot, and was able to catch it in place. 9 times out of 10 it seems Kemp coasts to where the ball is going to be and catches it on the run. I don’t bash on Kemp usually, but it’s the one thing he does that drives me nuts.

difference with runners on and bases empty though, right?

Although I agree with your overall larger point.

by Eric Stephen on Oct 16, 2010 5:31 PM PDT up reply actions

Partially

It does get you in a better position for the throw, but the other reason you go back hard to the spot is so that you can adjust if you’ve misjudged it at all (due to wind, etc.). Plus, it’s simply easier to catch a ball when you’re not running.
