I like it.
I don’t like it during a baseball game.
But I would never speak like that about that song.
Thats what I'm for
also, star spangled banner should never ever be sung. I’m down for a dramatic reading, but it is a goddamn poem not a song. Stop butchering it.

Can I again point out
that this year’s playoffs are possibly proof that a team doesn’t need a great manager to be a WS contender?
I’m not a big Bochy, Manuel, Girardi or Washington fan. They’ve all done good jobs this year, esp Bochy, to an extent but can’t really say they are main reasons their teams are in playoffs.

can it also be agreed that nothing in baseball is predictable, that for all the advancement in statistics sometimes you just have to watch the games and watch the magic that unfolds, and that with so much competition, sometimes it’s going to be your biggest rival that gets a case of the magics?

The Lakers test well with men 18-49, so I think we’ll see them in the finals again, but there seems to be some backlash against the Heat, so look for them to lose to either the Magic or Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals

Not cycling through managers and front offices will do that too. Tony LaRussa has the media eating out of his hand in St. Louis, The Boston Media loves Terry Francona, Joe Torre could do no wrong with the Yankees according to the New York media, and Bobby Cox ruled the ALT.
Its not so much that Soscica is loved in L.A., its that its an easy story to write about stability.

I am a fan of organizational stability, which is why I don’t follow the “this guy sucks, he should be fired” mantra that comes up far too often for my tastes.
