How old are we talking? Babies shouldn’t have hot sauce put on their thumbs. They need to self-soothe and thumbsucking is fine.

I have two (drunken) theories about these playoffs

1. Bud Selig hates the Dodgers so much, he’s rigging it so the NLCS will be Giants/Phillies. He already let McCourt buy the team, he needed a new way to fuck us.

2.MLB wants Giants/Phillies NLCS, to see if one fanbase can outdouche the other. I predict no survivors

3. Did Bruce lose the ball in the lights/towels?

Given that the official country name is

United States of America, it’s a difficult problem. Like the UK/Great Britain, The Republic of Ireland is also on the British Isles but isn’t part of Great Britain. But that’s the term for someone who lives in the UK, British.

So yeah, there are people living in the Americas other than those in the US. But given the name of the country there really isn’t another available term for the inhabitants within

Karma, thy name is MCC

This is probably my favorite comment of the night now. It was made when the Giants were up 4-0, and their fans were feeling kind of smug:

Even as a hitter, Rick Ankiel still has no idea where the ball is going.

Maybe not, but he sure knew where that last one was going! >:-)

(On a sidenote, this postseason and the fact that much of my interest in it is driven by contempt and resentment of two teams helps me to FINALLY understand the true meaning behind this song. Pour your misery down on me, Giant fans!)
