Oh, cool. That’d be awesome, if Elbert came back from the brink of non-existence to become an above-average reliever (or, godforbid, starter).

I think Elbert’s SP days are over…he is only looking short term and trying to just throw strikes..and just being a RP..
positive information for a guy who was down and out…a few months ago..

next step is ST..and seeing if he can throw strikes there..

We can all the bullpen we get

so hopefully he does come back :)

Why not? Couldn’t be much worse than 2010 Sherrill.

I know it is just the AFL

and Elbert is old for that league, but it is a hitter’s league generally, so I will choose to take this as encouraging news.

The command is extremely encouraging

if he is actually throwing strikes instead of young players swinging at his balls.

You can be (incompetent and a nice guy), you can be (competent and an asshole), but if you are an (asshole and incompetent), your only future is to be Keith's boss otherwise you are unemployable

and i be willing to bet he is throwing strikes

because the AFL is generally made up of the better prospects in baseball
