SB Nation NL Rookie Of The Year Award Goes To Jason Heyward
Jason Heyward of the Atlanta Braves narrowly edged Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants to win the SB Nation Rookie of the Year Award. The top two were in the opposite order of the BBWAA award announced today. Heyward is the second straight Brave to win the SB Nation NL Rookie of the Year Award, joining Tommy Hanson last season. Here are the results:

Here are the ballots that Phil Gurnee & I submitted:

Austin Jackson of the Detroit Tigers narrowly edged Neftali Feliz for the SB Nation AL Rookie of the Year, also with the top two in reverse order of the BBWAA award.

I don't mean this in a Mr. burns kind of way, but
excellent

I feel so tempted to post a picture of Hansel
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"
you know I’m just pandering to the crowd, right.
That being said, I’m surprised you don’t have a Hansel picture over your bed.

I think you've hit the trifecta of Ivdown shots
Way to go, lol

Quick, someone time how long it takes Eric to change the payroll sidebar.

I’m not changing it until the amount comes down.

Eric
My dad told me about a homerun Ron Cey hit at home against the Reds and he wants to find a video of it. What I need from you, if possible, is to help me find the date. George Foster was playing LF, and Cey hit the hardest line drive homerun my dad had ever seen (he was at the game in the LF stands), and Foster starts to stand up to get ready for the hit ball, but then immediately goes back to his hands on his knees because it was a gonner.
Have you seen this?

so his new twitter handle won't be Dodgerscribe? ;-)

Wow, an even worse player than I expected in that trade.

hah I know!
he also does a character called “Racist Vin Scully” which leaves me both aghast and laughing. But I always love their take on sports and hearing Patton was a bonus.
Though as much as I love Greg Proops I have a hard time with last week’s episode since he’s a Gnats fan and they talked about that a lot.

I don’t think you know what literal means.

"Save that for the girl chat rooms. No here cares that you are sentimental and sweet. Jose [sic] already passed on you, Dodger SF is having a mid 20’s relationship crisis living in a town where she can’t love anyone because they are either gay or Giant fans, Maddz is stuck in Theology hell, and Teal is married. Not sure what is up with Connector. And my nieces are off limits. Sporky hates you because you adorn the cover of Jon’s book."
Maybe grammar is why you don’t yet have a teaching job.
Did you pull up to the interview early and think it was ironic?

You've never eaten a tostada made with literal beans?
They have a nice, nutty flavor.

Thankfully there is no need for me to request to change my vote for the top 20 prospects.

hehe
had to post this from MLBTR. A White Sox fan suggests.
James Loney to the White Sox for Gavin Floyd and Tyler Flowers.
The Rationale?
Well, here’s my opinion.
-James Loney is a left handed bat, obviously, and he’s shown he can hit for average.
-Hits in the clutch, .316 batting average with runners on and .327 average with runners in scoring position. The White Sox have been lacking a clutch hitter for quite some time.
-His 41 doubles could turn into some homers in U.S Cellular Field.
-Doesn’t strike out a lot
-Walks a fair amount.
-Can be much cheaper then re-signing Paul Konerko, and is a better long term option.
Would Ned stop giggling long enough to say deal?
