After putting forth a slew of above average teams that never seemed to be one of the best nor the clear cut favorite, sf decided that it would just stick with the same strategy that had worked so well for them for the past 56 years, and did it again.
This year it finally paid off.
Just like it paid off for the Marlins and the Diamondbacks after being in existence for a fraction of that time, as it did for Cinderella; just showing up to the Ball, especially with great pitching, sometimes just works out.
Some Kinda Hate- Misfits (via wafflemelon)
To be honest, 56 years is too long for any franchise to have never taken a championship, so putting aside our innate madly sadistic lust to see more failure, being too greedy is just mean, and common rational sense and love of baseball says this situation is not entirely evil.
All that is left to do is congratulate the opposition, ask them what took them so damn long, and send well wishes that they again win their next championship after another 50 years has past.
This year, the giants truly did suck, congrats.
