Manny being... Man what a jackass!

Leave it to Man Ram a needle in his ass. Manny declared that this will be his last season in Dodger blue. What a great headline to have hanging over the team in spring training and thru the year. Is he just pushing for a mid-season trade? Guaranteed he'll be back pedalling in a couple days and saying he wants to finish his career in LA just like in boston and cleveland. Thanks manny.

Why does this upset you?

It’s common sense that this will be Manny’s last year in LA. At this stage of his career, IF he can continue playing after this season, it will be necessary for him to do so in the AL so that he can DH.

I'm not upset at all. I'm actually laughing about it.

Manny was saying he needed to dh last year. Only reason he picked his option this year is because he new he couldn’t get a third of the money he’s stealing from los doyers anywhere else. Viva Andre Ethier the Dodgers true star.

Calm down, chief

It’s not really news. As Mike said, everyone knows this will be his last season anyway. Look at the context of his quotes. He doesn’t want out, he’s just being realistic.

not surprised

after missing a significant part of last season due to the suspension and hitting poorly ever since, this was inevitable…the DH is pretty much his only option after this year since he sucks at left field…

"Just by the aura of D.J. Mbenga being there, the shot missed."

He hit great after the suspension until he got hit in the hand/wrist. After that it was Bobbleslam and slump.

i read on espn on the news they put down on the screen

and actually laughed, i mean i am grateful for 2008, and for making ethier what he is know (i give him some credit for that) but it was pretty obvious he wasnt coming back after this year, he is not gonna be able to field at all. just trying to get attention, just manny being manny

Manny

Lets just get the most out of Manny that we can—He probably wont be back next year he will have to DH somewhere-remember Eddie Murray? we only had him a couple of years and he did well-So will Manny-also he just might play one more year here if he does real well-but that would take alot because his agent is tuff-and unrealistic at times—Hell who knows—he might play one more year for 5 million when he finds out nobody will pay more-and besides who do we have to take his place? If He can hit 300 avg 30 HRs 95 RBIs he will be worth the money-I still think he likes it here and is a good teamate
