Where would Dee Gordon finish in a footrace if he went over to Tampa’s camp and raced BJ, Carl, and DJennings?

Gordon just might win.
By my eyes, I’d say Carlos Gomez is the fastest current player. He got some mention in this piece on fastest players in MLB: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090612&content_id=5285402&vkey=aroundthecage&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
Fantasy
First time poster here on TBLA, long timer on DT.
I know its early but i noticed that the fantasy league has not filled up yet. Seeing what happens if it doesnt.
Over on mlb.com they have started and I drew 1st pick
My roster:
C : Miguel Montero
1B : Pujols
2B : Ben Zobrist
3B : Mark Reynolds
SS : Stephen Drew
OF: Bobby Abreu
OF: Carl Crawford
OF: Adam Lind
U: Micahel Cuddyer
P: Dodgers
I think that is a great lineup consider I had first pick.
So for the hell of it as I always have tried to get Kemp I sent a offer and he declined it but sent me one.
He said only way he gives up Kemp is if he gets Zobrist
So he said Kemp/A. Cabrera (indians) for Zobrist and Cuddyer. I can slot Cabrera into Zobrist spot.
I personally think this is a steal.
I now have Pujols and Kemp.
What do you think?
Go Blue
I'm a big fan of Zobrist
but Kemp will be the better roto pick and Cabrerra is a solid replacement. 4/4 or 5/5 because Kemp has more value in 4/4 with his steals. But yes it is a steal if you can make that exact trade.

going to bobblhead days is an easier way to watch the game for free if you can sell them which is what i do hence it covers the cost of the ticket in reserve and most of the time loge level seats
Usually you can sell them right
at the stadium and buy a beer:)

never tried that.
me being an ebay whore i do alot of my transactions that way.
have to try the stadium next time
People pay money for these? I usually just give them away. I really need to embrace capitalism more.
Just don't forget to report
the income.

Dodgers released broadcast schedule
Quick count:
47 games on KCAL
9 on Fox (so far)
1 on ESPN (so far — July 11)
remainder on Prime Ticket or TBD
Vin still doing home games plus road games against NL West & AL West

I think that should be clarified as “AL California.” He didn’t travel to Texas last year and I doubt he’d make the trip to Seattle if we played them.
I think he would go to Seattle. That flight is probably close to the same amount of time as Colorado.

To be fair though, it is still technically true this year since the Dodgers’ road schedule against the AL West consists of just the Angels.

Tough crowd
you make a honest statement and they still pick it to pieces. I think we should add a new feature where I create a post full of inaccuracies just to watch everyone vulture on it. Or do I already do that?

I like bobbleheads.
Sell them to me via email. Help a fellow Dodger fan out. I have some trouble making the the games seeing that I’m from the central valley. But I will be in LA April 29-May 4. Disneyland for 5 days with the family (gun shot). Can there be a TBLA day during that time? Help me get away!

I keep mine
as you can tell from my avatar.

I have exactly one bobblehead
It was given to me this winter by a guy in my department who saw a Dodger picture in my office and wanted to unload a bobblehead that he happened to get when he went to DS as a fan of the opposition. Hilariously, it is this one:
It does feature the uniform number of my first favorite Dodger however.

I wonder how much "financing" you can get by reselling the Yankee ticket.
14-game plan is $350 for Infield Reserve, $25/game. I just checked Ticketmaster and best available there was section 8, row R, which is ok, but not great for IR. Single-game tickets are $32 for that same seat for a weekend game, which the Yankee game is. So what’s the markup for the Yankees? Three times? Is it a $100 ticket? That would reduce the cost of the other 13 games to $250, $19.23 per game.
Of course the only 14-game mini plan where I like the dates is the one that doesn’t have a Yankee game; it has Opening Day instead, a Tuesday day game that isn’t the season opener. Wonder what that resells for.

If you can get the home opener in the 14 game package you might make out. I used to sell my $20 loge for around $100 a piece for opening day.

I always sell my two opening day seats in reserve 23 for about 120 each, then buy 4 on the presale in a better spot for my friends and I with that money.
Thanks for the info guys.

Damn that's smooth
A bobblehead with a sweet swing while maintaining a smile on its face. Huge!
No more raining on Bruins Nation's rainy parade, they took their ball and went home.
Dodger Bobblehead Video
This is worth a look, if you haven’t seen it:
Dodgers Magazine: Bobbleheads
I wouldn’t have guessed that each of the bobbleheads is completely handpainted.
The part about rejected prototypes at about the 3:15 mark is hilarious. The Jeff Kent Candle got rejected because Jeff Kent objected to having his head melted!
So I'm not going to the Coyotes game next weekend with my gf anymore
because she broke up with me today.
That cuts the price in 1/2 for the plane ticket

Bad things come in 3’s, so I don’t know what to expect next. I’ll most likely get fired next, because I don’t have much else I could lose in my life that isn’t actually extremely important (I.E. deaths).
Today was seriously a terrible day. It’s a damn good thing i had my friends to lean on and then some friends I hadn’t talked to in a while.

We were young, I know, but we were together for 10 and a half months, so it wasn’t just some 2 month fling or whatever like my family is trying to make it seem like. I’m not sure why my happyness with my (ex)girlfriend wasn’t as important as how some people in my family viewed her.
I’ve been in your shoes, girlfriend gave me the heave-ho at about 10 months when I was just a shade younger than you. It was heart-wrenching.
As you age, ten months is nothing, but at your age, it’s an eternity. The unsolicited advice is keep yourself distracted. That spring training trip you mentioned below sounds like a good idea.
