Announcing the 2010 True Blue LA Fantasy League
If you would like to join the 2010 True Blue LA Fantasy League, now is your chance. SB Nation has partnered up with CBSSports.com and as a result we get one free Commissioner League, which is normally $179.99.
The True Blue LA league will have 12 teams, and use a rotisserie style 5x5 scoring system. I haven't yet decided on the categories, but I'm leaning toward SLG, OBP, runs, RBI, SB and ERA, WHIP, wins, saves, and strikeouts. We can iron out the details over the next week or so.
We have limited space in the league, so if you are interested please indicate in the comments below.
Tentatively, I'm shooting for Sunday, March 28 for the draft.
As part of the partnership between SB Nation and CBSSports.com, as you may have noticed with some of the ads on the site this week, you can sign up for your own Commissioner League for half price ($89.99). If you are interested in signing up for your own league, be sure to click here. Here are some key features of the Commissioner League:
- Customize entire league the way you want...rules, scores, teams + more
- LIVE scoring & stats so you can follow along as your teams rack up points
- Keeper league capability to carry on the tradition for many seasons to come
- Expert analysis provides up-to-date information on all players & teams
- Live chat/league messenger to trash talk with your competition
- 14-Day Free Trial included
So, if you want to join the True Blue LA league, please note in the comments below. If you would like to start your own Commissioner League, click here.
CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation baseball communities. This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League.

I was confused for a sec.
Why would I have to pay for stuff!? :)
Sure, I’d be interested for this. Although I’m a total newb at fantasy stuff.
I’d request a weekday night draft. They don’t take very long, if you do it on a weekend I will have to decline.

I would be interested if anyone can get in.

Last year
over 1/2 the members didn’t pay attention. So the number one criteria should be owners who are going to participate because if only a few are playing it kills the league.

Not sure who won last year
but if you still read this blog speak up. I’d like to say I didn’t do very well because I didn’t try hard but that would be untrue. I got off to a terrible start and had to work hard just to simply beat my niece. My goal was to beat Eric who payed no attention but I even fell short of that. Luckily I did much better in all my other leagues.

Anyone with thin skin should stay away
If we are going to do this, I’ll post a weekly spot about what is happening, and I’ll be making fun of everyone including myself. We will need some prizes. David Young has offered to do some aerospace programming for free. I can give grammatical lessons for those who want to dumb down their thesis. I actually have no clue what Mike White brings to the table other then common sense and who the hell wants that.

i never lose interest in fantasy leagues, i always carry it out through the end of the season.
Tripon
will of course donate a dozen day old donuts to the winner. For 10% off of retail.

Taiwan at 10pm
Thanks to Wen_JK over at Dodger Thoughts, use this website to watch tonight’s game in Taiwan:

Just to be clear…no posting of links to illegal streams of games in the comments normally. But since this game isn’t televised anywhere…well, you get my drift.
I’ll have a game thread up about 9:45 or so, but keep posting your interest in fantasy baseball in this thread.
that's awesome, Eric- thanks!
Wow, watching a Dodger game starting at 10 PM on a Friday night…I feel like I’m back on the east coast! :)
For those who live well.

Fantasy baseball?
Yes please. At least in this league I wouldn’t be the only guy overdrafting for Dodgers players.

Greg Vaughn can't save you now!
Hey E,
Would love to be a part of this league if the draft takes place at a time I can make.
Yes!
Glad to see you on here, Sam. I may draft Vaughn anyway :)

I'm in
But only a free league. I’m poor but I can offer free blood pressure readings. Also I’m your man if you need dialysis.

Just looking at some scheduling, we might have to have the draft sometime before March 23-24.
I like Phil’s idea of a weeknight draft…does that work for everyone?
I’m avail after 1930 if anyone cares. Like Debbie, I go all the way to the end.
