Dodgers Try To Avoid Sweep in New York Twinbill

Charlie Haegar will try to continue the good starting pitching the Dodgers have been receiving of late, in hopes that the offense will return to run-scoring glory.  He will take the mound against Oliver Perez.

The last time the Dodgers played a straight double header was April 9, 2006, in Philadelphia, on a Sunday, to make up a Saturday rainout.  Derek Lowe started the first game of the twinbill for the Dodgers, who lost 6-3.  The Dodgers came back to win the nightcap 6-2 with Brad Penny starting against Jon Lieber.

George Sherrill threw only three pitches in game one, so perhaps he is available for more LOOGY duty in game two.

Game Time:  around 4:40pm

TV:  KCAL 9, Los Angeles

Steiner still miscounting the number of innings.

It’s not me, it’s him, right? It’s 24 innings, not 23?

Once upon a time I thought Oliver Perez was going to be Randy Johnson Light. Or Sid Fernandez Light.
