By the way, I owe you an apology for doubting that OKC could win more than 1 against LAL.

As you can see, clearly I am no expert….

by Michael White on Apr 27, 2010 2:57 PM PDT up reply actions

i told you OKC is no joke. Westbrook has been by far the best player in the series, and they just cant stop him. The Lakers need to pay really, really well in these next 3 games to advance.

by UCLADodger32 on Apr 27, 2010 3:00 PM PDT up reply actions

Reminds of a series a few years ago

When Parker just tore up the Lakers for a couple of games in San Antonio. The Lakers clogged the middle, Parker got a lot of bumps (w/no calls) and he seem to regress. Not saying that will happen to Russell but if they don’t get the calls in LA tonight, we’ll see how they fight through it.

by bhsportsguy on Apr 27, 2010 3:03 PM PDT up reply actions

I just dont think they can not call stuff because its usually a big/little situation. Its one thing if Fisher could stay with him on a drive and then get away with a bump. Its another thing when Russ is always going against a big where he can use his superior body control to create obvious contact and get to the line. It’s also a lot more obvious when Bynum is involved with the contact as oppossed to another guard.

He probably just heard the audio of Ned’s interview :)

I guess. But you cant guess offspeed 0-2. you have to look fastball and adjust. He just stood there and took 3 hittable pitches.

I’d like to see him play Rock, Paper, Scissors with Bart Simpson (“Good old rock….”)

Yeah, fastball hitter not looking for his pitch, he did it earlier in the season too.

Thought I’d give the Dodgers a break and not watch most of the first game for em. Didn’t help.

by Mookie1 on Apr 27, 2010 3:47 PM PDT reply actions

I don't think you missed much

My Dad came over to help watch the kids while I studied and from the little I’ve seen, this game is like a sleep walk for the Dodgers.

Hey, at least you and your dog got some excercise.

A positive note

atleast we sacrificed Haeger against Santana. .. o wait

by SeanMillerSavior on Apr 27, 2010 3:48 PM PDT reply actions

i dont think it really matters who we face. This is a team that got shut down by Scott freaking Olsen. To go from the best offensive team in the majors to this in the span of 5 days is nuts.

Gotta be Ramon Ortiz, right?

Yep

I love joe Torre. Ya, lets play games with our pitchers down 4 in the 9th. Just send Ortiz out there to start the inning.

True. Assuming this means Sherrill is available in Game 2, then it’s fine.

by RawhideBlue on Apr 27, 2010 3:53 PM PDT up reply actions

Just let Sherrill pitch to Tatis

He already will do better than Chan Ho Park.

Tatis, Barajas, Francoeur, already down 4-0. Just leave Sherrill in. Save RamonO, who shouldn’t even be warming up, in case you need long relief for Haeger. Only Broxton, Beli, and Monk unused in the pen today already.

by David Young on Apr 27, 2010 3:52 PM PDT reply actions

Even if he wasn't going to keep up that pace

Manny’s .500+ OBP was going to be tough for this team to replace, they don’t really have a 3.5 outfielder with Pierre gone.

Again, not saying I want Pierre back but most teams don’t have a 4th outfielder that is as good as the other 3 and certainly not one as good as the Dodgers starting 3.

by bhsportsguy on Apr 27, 2010 3:52 PM PDT reply actions

Since Reed johnson is better than Pierre, we didnt have a 3.5 outfielder with Pierre either.
