I suspect the Lakers will score at least 1 point.

By the way, I owe you an apology for doubting that OKC could win more than 1 against LAL.
As you can see, clearly I am no expert….
by Michael White on Apr 27, 2010 2:57 PM PDT up reply actions
i told you OKC is no joke. Westbrook has been by far the best player in the series, and they just cant stop him. The Lakers need to pay really, really well in these next 3 games to advance.

Reminds of a series a few years ago
When Parker just tore up the Lakers for a couple of games in San Antonio. The Lakers clogged the middle, Parker got a lot of bumps (w/no calls) and he seem to regress. Not saying that will happen to Russell but if they don’t get the calls in LA tonight, we’ll see how they fight through it.
I just dont think they can not call stuff because its usually a big/little situation. Its one thing if Fisher could stay with him on a drive and then get away with a bump. Its another thing when Russ is always going against a big where he can use his superior body control to create obvious contact and get to the line. It’s also a lot more obvious when Bynum is involved with the contact as oppossed to another guard.

Dodgers have scored one run since the 7th inning on Saturday.
One run in 21 innings.

Indeed.
And I should point out, too that the one run they have scored in those 21 innings was a game-winner.

question
Any thought of moving Kemp back to the 2 hole? He was raking in that spot…
by lakersdodgersyankees4life on Apr 27, 2010 3:09 PM PDT reply actions
If you can guarantee his 38% HR/FB rate he had in the 2 spot, sure. He was bound to cool down eventually.

haha, i wasnt talking about the HR rate sustaining
but generally, he seemed to do better in the 2 hole. idk, maybe it was an illusion, but he seemed to be.. almost more confident in the 2 hole than in the 4 hole

Let's see the regular players have come up 3 times and they can't score a run
Let’s blame the guy who gets to bat once.
We haven't scored in 22 innings
we barely won the one game we did win.
We got shutout by someone who will be in AAA in August
They don’t like and have never liked GA

Wake me when the Dodgers plate a run or two. There’s nothing like spoiling back to back outstanding outings from your starting rotation by not scoring nay runs
Doesnt pulling him negate the advantage of him being more effiicent?
I mean Hiroki could have struck out just as well as GA. He could have bunted Caroll to second thus avoiding the DP. Anyone know what his pitch count was?
Bunted a runner into scoring position, down by 2 runs?

agree and disagree. At there in those games there a feeling the offense can make up for the crappy pitching. This just feels like 1 run and theres no chance to make it up.

Good starting pitching (though Kershaw probably should have given up more runs) in the last 3 games. Even Padilla left Thursday’s game as a potential winning pitcher.
'cept maybe
At some point this season both the offense and pitching will be running on full cylinders at the same time, and at that point we will win many games, and there shall be libations and much celebration

He already will do better than Chan Ho Park.
Tatis, Barajas, Francoeur, already down 4-0. Just leave Sherrill in. Save RamonO, who shouldn’t even be warming up, in case you need long relief for Haeger. Only Broxton, Beli, and Monk unused in the pen today already.

Even if he wasn't going to keep up that pace
Manny’s .500+ OBP was going to be tough for this team to replace, they don’t really have a 3.5 outfielder with Pierre gone.
Again, not saying I want Pierre back but most teams don’t have a 4th outfielder that is as good as the other 3 and certainly not one as good as the Dodgers starting 3.
Since Reed johnson is better than Pierre, we didnt have a 3.5 outfielder with Pierre either.
