Who called Torre's use of Broxton?

Tonight — no save situation but using Broxton
Tomorrow — save situation, Broxton
Saturday — Broxton not available, need him, can’t get him, lose

…was it Phil that called that? Lookin’ good, Phil.

Torre is easy

except I expected an easy win tonight.

12-2 start

I remember that start quite well. Then it started unraveling with injuries (Bradley, Izturis, Gagne, etc…). We’ve got Manny, Padilla, perhaps Furcal if things start going worse….Are we seeing 2005 again without the hot record start, lol.

I still have faith in the team to make the playoffs, though.

by Ivdown on Apr 29, 2010 9:53 PM PDT up reply actions

I remember a lot of things from 2005.

Not least of which is Jason Phillips losing his job at catcher but to keep him in the lineup Tracy played him at 1B over HSC.

That’s what drove me to drink.

So that's where the fifths of gin started eh? lol

Lets see, what other terrible players were on that 2005 team…Schmoll, Houlton, Repko, I thought Choi at the time, Oscar Robles (wow), Javier Valentine, Graboswki, etc…I must have blocked it out, but who the fuck is Mike Edwards and why was he so shitty?

Add Werth to the injured list as well…

God that 2005 team was awful.

I pretty much never post here or anywhere but

I just got back from the game (left in the 8th, too disgusted) and I just need to vent. I’m pretty sure that when Burris left the game he had thrown 47 balls to 46 strikes, the dodgers had RISP in 4 straight innings and got nothing, Clayton was great, and nothing??? I just don’t get it. It almost feels like they’re willfully losing. Of course I know they aren’t doing on purpose but I just don’t get it.
