Minor League Update 4/30 - More Miller Time

AAA - Elbert laid another egg tonight allowing 9 baserunners in only four innings of work. Not only is he still a wild ass lefty but lately he's become extremely hittable. Some of kids are starting to heat up. Hoffman had three hits, DeJesus and Lucas May picked up two each. Hoffman has quietly put together a ten game hitting streak but has not drawn one walk during this stretch.

AA – Lookouts get waxed 8 - 4 as Bastardo and company don't get the job done. Gordon went 0-5 and Lambo sat this one out, but Scott Van Slyke is starting to get used to AA pitching. Van Slyke hit his 2nd home run and his now five for his last nine and is sporting a solid stat line of .318/.380/.469. This is one Lookout who can take a walk.

High A Aaron Miller and Kyle Smit combined to give up only two earned runs leading the 66ers to a 7 - 3 victory. Miller went the first five and Smit finished it up by going the final four. They combined for 11 K's, Miller walked three while Smit was walk free. Pedro Baez continued his hot hitting with a three run home run. Baez is five for his last twelve as he moves his stat line to .318/.366/.455. The other hot hitter is Austin Gallagher who picked up two more hits and now has a seven game hitting streak with 12 hits in those seven games.

AJerry Sands hit his eighth home run, a three run shot, but it was his only hit in four at bats. We are used to him getting two - three hits per game.
