Great tweet

by Jon Weisman:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pitcher who had as many walks as he had strikeouts and still had his ERA below 2.00

(although this was before the Loney strikeout tipped the scales in K’s favor, 26-25 on the season for Garland)

by Eric Stephen on May 14, 2010 8:52 PM PDT reply actions

.203 average against him, if you don’t hit him, you don’t make him pay unless he walks four in a row

Third

I’m going to add an Ethier league leader tracker on the sidebar after the game…it will hopefully be up for a while

nice leadoff walk Ramon

now walk eckstein .. so you can face gonzo

by SeanMillerSavior on May 14, 2010 8:54 PM PDT reply actions

Current rough projections for Ethier if he continues this pace:

(Prorated to last season’s 596 AB)

Runs: 122
Homeruns: 54
RBI: 186
Doubles: 54

Garland gave up rockets, Ramon got dinked around aside from Gonzo’s HR.

1) Ortiz wasn’t great

2) Dodgers should have this game put away with several runs

I was too because Ortiz is worse than Ely but

Garland is worse than Haren and both show that anything can happen. Which means Dodgers could just as easily lose tomorrow’s game. :)
