PHEW! Andre seems OK

The Dodgers say Andre Ethier is day to day:

http://twitter.com/jonmorosi/statuses/14125814803

#Dodgers say Ethier is day-to-day with fractured pinkie. Waiting to see if he can tolerate pain and swing this week. Not bad news. #LA #MLB

Obviously good news. Like I said at MOKM, hopefully it means there was no ligament damage(ie, Orlando Hudson and his wrist, where the bone tore apart his whole wrist) and can avoid surgery. Apparantley, Ethier simply holds the bat a certain way where there was simply too much pressure on the pinkie and a small bone became fractured.

Hopefully, he is out for only the Astro series, but he will most likely miss the next couple of series...

As much as I would love to see him compete on a Triple-Crown basis/level

Get rest Andre…better safe than sorry

agreed

dodgers are playing well right now so its a decent time to miss some games. Rest up and be ready to unleash your fury on NL pitchers the rest of the season.

I agree that if neccesary, he should go on the DL

Let him get rest and have a rehab assignment… Looking at my predicition above, he could be out for most of the 15 days anyways, so why not get Paul back up?
