Batting Stance Guy is on the pre-game show right now, and they just showed a clip of Casey Blake when the Beard was THE BEARD. Damn that thing was awesome.
I liked seeing the little “throw it right here” nuance in Andre’s swing. Never noticed that before.

Is there a list of which places have the grilled Dodger Dogs?
Look at that, he hit the f*cking bull! Guy gets a free steak!
I found this on Yelp
In Oct. 2009 I sat in a different section than normal and couldn’t find the grilled ones, so I wrote the Dodgers and asked for a list of where I could get the grilled dogs. At that time they said…
Grilled Dodger Dogs stand locations are as follows:
Pavilions- none
Field- All stands including branded stands.
Loge- Aisle #s, 153, 139, 106, 136 and 156
Reserve- Aisle #s, 33, 11, 6, 12 and 30
Top Deck- Aisle # 5

This year some stands are marked "Grilled"
and some are not.
When you are in bhsportsguy’s seats, when you go up to the concourse, turn left and the second stand – the one with Blue Moon as the premium beer on tap – has grilled dogs.

I usually arrive early and buy my dog right away when the lines are short to nonexistent
and have actually just asked the worker where the closest grilled dogs were.

So if he declines,
Does that mean he will go to waivers? I never saw him play. Is he good? must be if they called him up over who.
by Skunkburner on May 28, 2010 6:03 PM PDT via mobile reply actions
Other way around
Step 1 is exposing him to waivers. If Green clears waivers, at that point he has the right to decline a minor league assignment (if he does so, he does not get paid anything).
If Green accepts the minor league assignment, he will get paid whatever the minor league salary of his split contract calls for (probably around $100k)

I saw him play in OKC for the Isotopes...

It does seem that this year, you get the bad combination of good opponent pitching vs. this spot.
From Gurnick
since Silverwidow didn’t give the link:
Torre indicated that Elbert is likely to be returned to Triple-A when Charlie Haeger returns from a Minor League rehab assignment for plantar fasciitis. a kcal game so I sit down at my computer
see we are down 4-o top of fifth, think I should get a beer, get side tracked getting some stuf done for the daughters 9th bday party tommorrow, finally get the fat tire sit back down and we are up 5-4, maybe if I do it all again by the time I get my 2nd beer we will be up 10-4
The lesson, as always
Drinking beer is good

Nats playing Padres under protest tonight
(that they have no chance of getting upheld). From Mark Zuckerman:
The #Nats have protested the game because the #Padres incorrectly had Adam Russell as tonight’s starting pitcher
Russell was optioned this morning, and is a reliever. Clayton Richard was the starter. Just a goof by SD.
Nats are up 3-0 BTW

Anyone that's smarter than me
know what has bee wrong with Troncoso lately, isn’t he usually a ground ball pitcher? Bad mechanics, leaving the ball over the plate???
Just watching this inning
it seems like he’s keeping his pitchec up in the zone

Right now
I would say that Carroll and Johnson are doing a good job in their roles. Belliard can’t play 1B so not sure how much blame goes to him.
Anderson is in the toughest role but he got the job done tonight.
Don’t know about the back up catcher since I think he is on undercover assignment.
I can’t wait for the Moe Berg type bio of Ellis

I wonder if he bought the post-game spread, Eric can you check that out.
Ethier was on deck in the top of the 8th when DeJesus (the batter in front of him) struck out to end the inning. Ethier came out for Hoffmann in the bottom of the inning.

David Stearn’s little plan has come together half way. Will be interesting to see if his script risks having the Lakers have to close out the series in Game #7. I don’t understand why people were calling the Lakers win last night “lucky”. They were ahead by something like 18 points in the 2nd half. I understand that that last basket was rather fortunate as they scored with less than half a second left in the game. I think the Suns prior possession was luckier as Richardson banked in the three pointer. It’s as if the Suns blew the game and the Lakers lucked out by winning. The Suns never sniffed a lead in the 2nd half and didn’t tie the game until the banked in three with 3.5 seconds left.
Rockies announcers just said that Tracy was a very accomplished manager, what has he done other than a NL Manager of the Year?
