I don't know what I'm more upset about.

Clayton imploding or the Dodgers offense once again gone missing against a mediocre pitcher.

by Jesse S. on May 4, 2010 8:32 PM PDT reply actions

He hasn’t been that bad. He wasn’t good when they stuck him in the bullpen and he had a bad inning in his first start this year.

by Salty on May 4, 2010 8:34 PM PDT up reply actions

It’s just frustrating seeing them destroy Clayton while we can’t even get a man to second base.

He's never gone more then 5 2/3

but it looks like he’ll make six tonight.

:O !!!!

I was trying to get some work done at the office, when I did the A-T-D-H-E thing. My initial, instant look at the score was “Brewers 0 Dodgers 0”, and thought, “A pitcher’s duel- Brewers getting shut out AGAIN! Just wish they’d get some runs for Clayton.” About 0.5 seconds later, I noticed the “1” in front of one of the 0’s, and I it took me an additional 0.5 seconds to process that the “1” was in front of the BREWERS’ score! It took me an additional 2 seconds to realize that the Dodgers were losing 10-0 to at team that had just scored 2 runs against out “lowly” neighbors to the south in FOUR FUCKING GAMES!!!

The good news is, I’ll be able to get some work done…once my blood pressure goes back down.

by harpermd on May 4, 2010 9:13 PM PDT reply actions

I stopped using MLB.tv

but when they started doing the commercials last summer, it was even worse. Any time you clicked on a clip, you were “treated” to a 30 second commercial, usually the same one. Over. And over. And over. And…at least they seem to have tempered that somewhat.

oh wow

I didn’t realize the second Philly fan ran onto the field when they were WINNING! The only thing lamer than running onto the field is running onto the field when your team is winning by one run, and the pitcher is trying to close it out. (Just ask Jonathan Broxton.)

They don’t call them the “best” fans in baseball for nothing.

by harpermd on May 4, 2010 9:35 PM PDT up reply actions

I heard a Philly fan call in a radio show on my way home from work. He said that there was a long delay and Hamels was still in the game. He then proceeds to give up the HR to Molina and another hit.

by keithc13 on May 4, 2010 9:36 PM PDT up reply actions

that fan should be thankful for the rest of his life

by sarcastro9 on May 4, 2010 9:38 PM PDT up reply actions

The dude that called was pissed, obviously

He was commenting how Hamels was rolling and that he had to wait for like 6 minutes to pitch to Molina. Plus they had Lidge warming in the pen. Another reason for Hamels to be upset. :-)

not that it made a difference in the season, but

last year I went to a Yankee game where they were trailing 10-5 in the bottom of the 9th. They scored 4 runs, had runners at 1st & 2nd with no outs. Inexplicably, Girardi had Swisher bunt (on a 1-0 count!), he popped out. Cabrera lined into a double play to end the game.
