See Eric, aren’t you glad Chad isn’t pitching right now. Can you imagine how pissed you’d be right now after that error and then subsequent bullpen call from Joe? :)
If we get Braun out
hitting or walking fielder would be a no brainer

Jim (Vermont)
Vasquez and Montero for Kemp. Reasonable? Possible?
Jerry Crasnick
(12:16 PM)
Jim, This is a real trade proposal, I take it? I can’t see the Dodgers going for that one. Matt Kemp is one of their franchise faces. Javier Vazquez turns 34 and he’s having a terrible season, and a lot of people think Montero is a DH. It doesn’t work for LA.
I'm far less upset about that
than the futility of this team getting three runs off of Doug Davis…AT HOME!
we will find out which is worse our offense or their closer
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Took time out to watch Mythbusters with the Bride. Back now
And I see we’ll be getting some Pig Latin.
Not to jinx it — can I jinx it when the Dodgers are still losing? — but I hope it’s just two words:

good night guys
I won’t even regret not watching if the Dodgers, somehow, manage to win this game. At the moment, a win is far less thrilling than a loss is painful.
Joe didnt like it when I brought up Troncoso game usage
and pointedly pointed out to me he didn’t use him on Sunday and Monday was a day off.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
what an awful commercial
now you can’t even pay attention to your kids in the car. just had them a fucking gadget to answer their questions. christ were doomed

Right
There was no one for Blake to throw to. Ethier comes into the shot at the very end of the play…

Inter should win the CL Final...
They shut down Messi and Xavi in the semifinals…
They have a great offensive team with Eto’o, Milito, Balotelli, Pandev, Stankovic and Sneijder… But Sneijder has hurt his knee tonight again AS Roma, so he couldn’t play the CL Final, it would be a big loss for them as Manny for the Dodgers…
Inter has ont of the best GK in the league (Julio Cesar) and a great defense…
Bayern has played very well in the recent weeks despite the Ribery Gate as Kobe Bryant in the past… Olic and Robben has been on fire… The weakness is their goalkeeper, hes the worst GK in Europe… And, don’t forget Van Gaal, an outstanding coach as Guus Hiddink or Dick Advocaat…
BTW, Ribery is suspended for the CL Final
Probable lineup:
Inter: Julio Cesar – Maicon, Lucio, Samuel, Chiuvu – Cambiasso, Zanetti, Sneijder, Stankovic- Milito, Eto’o
Bayern: Butt – Lahm, Van Buyten, De Michelis, Contento – Van Bommel, Schweinsteiger, Robben, Altintop – Muller, Olic
I bet a 2-1 win for Inter…
Amanda Righetti <3
good stuff. I knew Ribery was gone for the final. BTW, what is he thinking???? Obviously he wasn’t. Inter has the key to the finals in Cesar and Mourhino imo. Is Jose going to Spain next year, or back to the EPL?
who is the other Spanish team he was linked to? I heard it on FSC the other night. I may be off on this, but I thought they mentioned another team.
No rumors on another team...
Maybe FC Barcelona, because Guardiola’s contract will expired in June…
Amanda Righetti <3
Is Benitez leaving Pool?
I don’t know if a) they can afford to fire him. B) They are going to lose Torres most likely to La Liga.
Pool is in deep poop. But I hate them so, ha ha!
Yes...
I didn’t wrote on my SB Profile but you are right…
I’m a huge Paris Saint Germain fan…
Amanda Righetti <3
I thought you were...
I don’t know much about the French league. I have only been following soccer…futbol for about 2 years now. I freaking love it. I watched the CL final with Barca and Chelsea as my first game. Fell in love with Chelsea. They got CHEATED! LOL. I love it now. Good to talk to someone who follows and knows the game. KTBFFH!
I see...
I’m glad that you have became a huge soccer fan… I think, most of them here are not a soccer fan as much…
Amanda Righetti <3
I can tell the same on my country...
Only a few baseball fans, the other don’t care of it…

Not that I'm freakin' Nostradamus or anything
but when they had Gomez in the pickle, I said to Bride, “I don’t trust the Dodgers to make this play.” And then they didn’t!

79 points if the score holds.

If Casey only had his beard....
when is someone on the team going to let Casey know this is all his fault? :-)
Freakin two runs in four games against the Padres and freakin 18 runs in two games against the Dodgers.
Are the Dodgers just a bad team this year? Is it that simple? Are they just bad?
If they’re bad, I can accept that.
The Ultimate Ned's Kind of Guy
I can't believe I shelled out $100 for mlb.tv.
If I knew the Dodgers would play this norribly…
I had such…. reasonable hopes for the Dodgers this year. Contend. Make it or don’t, just be in the thick of things.
To see a bad team — a 100-loss team, which is just about how they’re playing right now — is not what I prepared for.

I have the World Cup to distract me next month.
Though I am prepared for an American heartbreak.
I don’t know which is worse: that, or the floundering Dodgers
Dodger failure is worse in my eyes. I have some reasonably high hopes for the USMNT but not like I did for the Dodgers a month ago.
I am worried
about our back 4 and ST. Altidore can make a lot of money and get a move to another team with a good performance in the WC. Being stuck with Hull is pergatory.
agreed
weak on the back, but have a few play makers. I just hope we don’t sit 4-5-1 all tournament long and try to suffocate everybody. We will get exposed in the back if we do. But that is what is going to play out in the end anyway.
I hope so...
It looks like the Dodgers: a great offensive team but a weak defense…
Amanda Righetti <3
I was floored by this stat
Tonight (with 3 days rest) is the first time all season Ramon Troncoso has pitched with more than one day of rest
Well, Sherrill's in
So I wouldn’t go counting those 79 points just yet.

It won’t happen, but Lindblom is lined up to start Tuesday against the D-Backs. This is if Ely is sent packing and Monk/Ramon stay in the pen.
Isn’t Nick Green fungible? Furcal due back on Wednesday?

Left tonight’s game early. I’ve sat through worse losses, but tonight was just embarassing.

It still applies.

I suggested above that it might be, but maybe that's overstatement.
On the other hand, they only lost 91 in ’05.

Super No
because 2005 was a year that Jason Philips, Mike Edwards played baseball

this is worse because I actually like the team. the team in 05 was a bunch of shitbags.

started out 13 -2 or something like that
which just shows how bad they were for the rest of they year
Now if Andre breaks his wrist like Drew did then all bets are off

At least yesterday
had a Loney bomb for a small consolation. Tonight has what? A GA RBI pinch-single?
The commenter formerly known as El Lay Dave.
Billingsley knuckled down and pitched 5 scoreless innings
after it looked like he was going to get the shit kicked out of him in the 1st. Granted, that was an hour and a half ago.
What's worse is that this may be Scully's last season.
Who knows for sure, really, but it is the elephant in the room.
If this whole year is like this (science forbid) it will be worse than 05. 05 We lost because were playing Jason Fucking Grabowski and Jason Phillips batting cleanup and all that shit. If we suck this year it means “the core” mostly failed us. Kershaw and Billingsley coming undone will suck far more than HSC getting screwed.
who could ever forget Oscar Robles batting 3rd?

Also, why is first base such a positional curse for us? What’s the best we’ve had outside of a couple decent years from Eric Karros? It’s gotta be about 20 years at least since we had a first basemen worth giving a shit about. Eddie Murray in 1990?
reflections
Garrett Anderson got a hit. That should guarantee his useless butt another 100 plate appearances. Mark Sweeney all over again.
Why does our allegedly lights out bull pen get regularly bitch slapped and we can’t hit guys with 8 era’s?
We signed Travis Denker. Can we get rid of Nick Green now?
first base
Hey Mike, Loney’s about the only guy on the team hitting in the clutch, so what’s your beef?
We’ve had some flashes there, Loney occasionally remembers how to hit, Garciaparra had that nice first half run, Karros’ hair had a few decent years, but we never seem to have that masher over there like a Pujols, Fielder, Howard, Delgado, Bagwell that sort of thing.
im going to need to call my friend in the liver transplant department @ cedars if this shit keeps up........
i feel like we’re buying magic beans or something.
“just wait till manny comes back, we’ll be fine”
“just wait till raffy comes back, we’ll be fine”
hey ned – FUCK YOU. 2005 was bad. me and my girlfriend at the time broke up and the dodgers sucked.
this year’s team makes 2005 as a year look like a walk in the park. its like watching a will ferrel comedy – lot of hype, waste of time.
i will say this though, its nice to have fans like myself who love the team on this site. you guys rock! make the season tolerable
