I am on day 5 with no caffeine. I have no sympathy for somebody who is merely suffering from chocolate withdrawals.

But yeah, kicking caffeine is rough. I had a wicked soda habit a few years ago. it’s much better now.

And the Giants announcer was on. He was talking about Aubry Huff. Huff was saying how excited he was because this is the closest he has been to a playoff team.
Complete bullshit, since he was on the Tiger team last year that played an extra-inning 1 game playoff for the AL Central title last year.
To be fair
this is the first team he’s been with from beginning to end. Getting traded at midseason is a weak way to get involved in a pennant race.

From the SBNLA article by Ben G.
Paul’s list of preferred destinations consists of the Knicks, Magic and Lakers, and members of his inner circle already have sent word to the Hornets of his desire to be traded to one of those teams, sources say.
How would you define your approach to management, apart from being brilliant?
by Josie Becker on Jul 21, 2010 7:15 PM PDT up reply actions
Did the Hornets respond with telling him to go fuck himself?
Actually, the Knicks might work with Eddy Curry’s expiring deal…
by Michael White on Jul 21, 2010 7:16 PM PDT up reply actions
per Matt O’Brien on the main SB Nation site:
Lakers. Any package for Paul begins and ends with Andrew Bynum. The Lakers would likely have to throw-in some smaller contracts to make a trade work, but this would effectively be a Bynum-for-Paul swap. And really, the Hornets aren’t going to get any better value back than a young 7-footer with legit All-Star potential (assuming, of course, he can stay healthy). That alone should make the Lakers frontrunners in the Paul sweepstakes. From a basketball perspective, Paul in the purple and gold is a frightening prospect for the rest of the league, as Bynum’s departure would likely mean Lamar Odom would slide into the starting lineup alongside Pau Gasol. A starting five of Paul, Bryant, Artest, Odom and Gasol could win more than a few games
by Eric Stephen on Jul 21, 2010 7:34 PM PDT up reply actions
they dont need Paul
the triangle has worked nicely without an elite PG.
Adam Morrison has more rings than Lebron, Bosh, and Wade combined?
its worked nicely
but I dont think there is any doubt it would be better with an elite point guard, I’ll admit certain point guards, i.e. ones that base there game more around slashing and driving might not fit as well, but CP3 shoots high% from inside and outside the arc, and averages around 10 assists a game, he would definitely make the team a hell of a lot better…he also would bring more on the defensive end than Fish

The key to me not being aggravated by the Dodgers this week is to
follow the game only via Gameday and occasionally y’all. Maybe that’ll bring them better luck. That way I can half follow it while doing other stuff. And also not have to listen to Krukow and Kuiper.
And also if they won the game that would be less aggravating.

after reading the story I don't get the point
The Lakers at the time kind of sucked even with Kareem on the team. He wanted to play in LA but it wasn’t like LA was loaded with elite players at the time other then Kareem. Norm Nixon was good and Coop had yet to become the Coop that had his name yelled at the Forum. Wilkes was solid but the team had come in 3rd place the year before. I just don’t see the comparison to him saying he’d have stayed in school if drafted by the Bulls compared to what LeBron has chosen to do.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
The larger point was that this is one of those “we’ll never know” stories because of the talent Magic got to play with. If Magic had to play with LeBron’s teammates, he might have chosen to go to a “super team” too
by Eric Stephen on Jul 21, 2010 8:21 PM PDT up reply actions
More then likely the super players
would have chosen to play with Magic. There is a reason why the team had Heyward, Kupchak, McAdoo, Maurice Lucas, Mychal Thompson, Orlando Woolridge, and Perkins became Lakers.

So even he had been in Buffalo, if the team had money, he would have drawn the elite talent.

Chris Paul, according to Ken Berger of CBS, hopes to have played his last game for the Hornets and has set into motion a plan to be traded by the start of the upcoming season.
His teams of choice are said to be the Knicks, Lakers and Magic, and people close to him have said he has played his last game for the Hornets.

Somebody give me some tangible proof that J. Loney is not equal to T. Ishikawa
High average, lower power run-producing lefty 1b’s with + gloves and relatively clutch performances.
Considering he has 81 PA this year and like 17 RBI's
That’s actually works out to like 100 RBI or so if you extend him to 500 AB’s or so which is still far less than Loney is getting this year.

I want to see two visits to the mound after putting Sherill, McDonald, and then some starters not pitching today, etc. until all of the coaches were gone and see what happens. But, just to test things out I want to see the one foot on and one foot off the mound and return, the one step over the foul line, back behind and over again, the one foot on the mound and off and on again, and then two hands off the mound and back in again, and the visit the mound, run into the giants dugout, punch bauchy, and run backwards back onto the mound just to see what happens.

For men, in particular, the onset of sports-related depression, can lead to rage and anger – common symptoms of depression. When a sporting event has taken place, and the excitement and hype of that event has dissipated, the depression may suddenly turn to feelings of anger and this can lead to poor outcomes in your interpersonal relationships – even affecting your ability to work or socialize normally. With early treatment, many adults with sports depression can overcome their sadness and melancholy in time for the next long awaited game.
