AAA – Jesus Castillo gave up seven runs in three runs as the Isotopes go down 11 - 8. Castillo continues to prove he was nothing more then a AA pitcher. Russ Mitchell had four hits after having his hitting streak snapped the night before. Mitchell is doing everything he can to make to the Dodgers add him to 40 man roster and take a look at him this Sept. He's pounding LHP to the tune of a 1.200 OPS for the year. AJ Ellis back in AAA for his best chance to hit a home run in two years. He almost got there with a triple last night. Troncoso gave up four hits in two innings with one walk and no K's. Link struck out two in his one inning of work.
AA – I thought someone said last night that Aaron Miller was having a bad night but if he was the box score shows him having the best game of his AA career. He went five innings, gave up five hits, no earned runs, walked two, and struck out three to garner the win 5 - 2. St. Claire picked up the two inning save. Sands was playing LF last night and threw out two runners at the plate. He went hit-less but picked up a walk. Gordon had two more hits giving him five straight multi-hit games pushing his OB to .339. He also stole his 38th base. Kyle Russell sat this out with Lambo playing RF. Lambo has had almost 90 at bats since returning, and has an OPS below .500 during that time. Amazing what Elbert and Lambo have not done this year.
High A –Ethan Martin sucked again and the offense did nothing in an 8 - 1 loss.
Loons Game One –Loons win 6 - 3 behind Matt MaGill who went six innings of three run ball. Songco, Galvez, and Buss all homered to support the offense.
Loons Game Two - Loons take a pair with a 3 - 2 victory. Blake Smith hit a three run double and that was all it took.
Rookie Ogden – Ogden got pounded 13 - 4 with Frias taking the brunt of hit giving up five runs. Landry had two hits, Coyle and Garcia each had three hits.
Rookie Arizona –Dodgers also got pounded 12 - 5 with Feliciano taking the heat. Delmonico and Guerra are doing rehab stints.
