MiLB Dodger Recap 7/27 - The Mitchell Report

AAA – Bad game all around for all the Isotope pitchers. Castillo started off getting shelled with six runs in four innings, Troncoso did even worse, giving up four runs in one innings, followed by Wade giving up three runs in two innings. Was it just two years ago that Troncoso and Wade were integral parts of the bullpen? On the plus side Russ Mitchell hit his 9th home run in July, fifth in ten games, and 18 for the season. If there is a hotter hitter then Russ Mitchell I'd like to know who it is, Oeltjen, DeJesus, Mitchell, Gibbons, and Hoffman all got on base at least three times.

AA – No Games

High A – 66ers lose 6 - 5 but Javier Solano continues to work his relief magic. Redding started, gave up nine hits in six innings, Solano came in and threw two perfect innings with four strikeouts.

A – No Games

Rookie Ogden – Raptors win 8 - 6 behind another gem twrilled by a 23 year old 2009 draftee. Greg Wilborn three six dominant innings, giving up zero earned runs, no walks, 10 K's. For they year 43 IP, 8 walks, 58 K's. I guess he'd be up along with Patterson but were would you slot him in the current Loon rotation. Jonathan Garcia blasted his fourth home run. Lemmerman nor Landry played so they could not add to their .370 - .380 batting averages.

Rookie Arizona – 19 year old Arismendy Ozoria was brilliant yesterday, pitching the Dodgers to a 2 - 0 victory. He went five innings, four hits, no runs, no walks, eight strikeouts. He was followed by Garcia and Lima who continued the shutout.
