On pregame show
Ned said at first they offered $1.5 million to CWS for a specific prospect they wanted, and Chicago rejected the offer.
Then, the Dodgers offered $1 million to CWS for a different prospect “further down the line” per Ned, and that was rejected too.

I added up the part of the payroll worksheet of the players that no longer play for us or were DFA’d etc…
We have half of the Pirates payroll there. Around $17.5M. Is this the norm in baseball? Or are we just cool like that?

I hope he is our backup catcher next year
Have you ever tried just turning off the TV, sitting down with your children, and hitting them?
Vin Scully is undoubtedly great.
But, in these moments he’s the best at getting the most out of the moment. Love this man.

Fuck you too, ESPN, assholes.

No he’s not. He just came to a Dodger blog and said “yes” when the no-hitter was broken up.

That was probably a bit uncalled for
Apologize on his behalf.

On the day we lose Manny and start the McCourt divorce trial...
…a no-hitter would’ve been too much to hope for.
Oh well.
And here comes fucking Ruiz, wow this is just perfect. I hope someone from Dodgers hit Victorino tomorrow :)
Jansen 98 MPH fastball in the ribs would be poifect :)
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"
i heard it too.
I never thought I’d hear that outside of the Bay Area. Bay area fans chant Beat L.A. at Giants and Sharks games, even if they aren’t playing LA
Sit the fuck down, fatty
"If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate"
Carlos Ruiz
most hated man in LA?

Nice game Hiroki, you rocked the shit out of these P.O.S.es.

That was one hell of a pitch to get Ruiz. I loved it.
Standing O for Hiro indeed.

Hiroki Kuroda
is coming out? UGHHHHH
I know its to be safe, but I really really really really wanted to see the man finish the game…

Looks like I picked the wrong day to forget to put Kuroda in my fantasy rotation
He had been on the bench since his last start while I added Street for saves. Dammit

another reason I hate all things philadelphia

So I'm sitting this one out
on purpose like after my foul mood showed itself earlier. But I went to get some water, and my dad had the game on, and DS was giving Kuroda a standing O, and y’know what he does, flips to Two and a Half Men.
Yeah, I hate great baseball moments too dad. *click, boom

Kemp earned himself that strikeout. Just an awful approach that makes things 10 times harder on himself.
Just pulling this out of my ass (I know, what a shock)
but what about a vision test. Could he need glasses? I know they do a complete physical in spring training, but are there any follow ups during the year?
by Greg Stephen on Aug 30, 2010 9:33 PM PDT up reply actions
I've been wondering that too. Worried about his vision
On the other hand I’ve had same question or worry about Casey Blake, too. Maybe a new team optometrist.

by Greg Stephen on Aug 30, 2010 9:38 PM PDT up reply actions
You know, he was bailing out on the first pitch. That means his ass moved out of the way. Maybe it’s because he is constipated. That would also explain him being slower; he’s obviously been constipated all year. Optometrist? Hell no. We just need a team proctologist.
Holy shit indeed.

Turns into a triple…giants then throw the ball into the dugout trying to get Cargo at 3rd…Cargo awarded home.
