On pregame show

Ned said at first they offered $1.5 million to CWS for a specific prospect they wanted, and Chicago rejected the offer.
Then, the Dodgers offered $1 million to CWS for a different prospect “further down the line” per Ned, and that was rejected too.

Thanks!

Eric

I added up the part of the payroll worksheet of the players that no longer play for us or were DFA’d etc…

We have half of the Pirates payroll there. Around $17.5M. Is this the norm in baseball? Or are we just cool like that?

by keithc13 on Aug 30, 2010 6:55 PM PDT reply actions

It is one of the larger numbers among MLB teams. I need to update it later tonight now that Manny is gone.

However, coin flips are a thing of the past. Apparently, it’s head to head that decides that now.

That’s almost double the Mariners who have hit 24 fewer at home this year. I wonder what’s up with the new stadium for the Twins.

Well,

That would have been an amazing catch to end a no-hitter but we’ll take it either way

may not be a no-hitter

but a 1-hitter is pretty impressive.

Beating Doc 3-0 is even more impressive. This was scheduled to be one of the tougher games this week.

As long as the Phillies are fighting the Braves for a playoff spot I’ll be rooting 100 percent for the Braves to win!

I don't like the Braves

But when we’re talking about a team that is in the same division as the Phillies? The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Screw the Phillies!

It's like your kids one day saying

“Dad, the Giants aren’t so bad. They’re in the upper NorthWest division, we don’t even play them that much anymore”

1 Hitter against Roy Halladay in a wild card race boys, I know we got to flirt with Marissa Miller, but I’m ok with banging Heidi Klum instead, common.

He came in on a broken bat fly ball…misjudged it…went over his head and to the wall.
Turns into a triple…giants then throw the ball into the dugout trying to get Cargo at 3rd…Cargo awarded home.
