Leo Nunez sucks
4-4 Top of the 9th
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.
I just realized that the Angels (who just lost again) are 2 games under .500. Plus, they called up Peter Bourjos. Which shifted Torii Hunter to right field (!!!). So, um there’s an example of moving a veteran for a youngster. A BIG one.
yeah and torii looked bad on some of those plays hit to right

Hunter said he welcomed the move in an interview I read this week.
Said anything that makes them better, he is down for….(paraphrasing of course)

The Houston Astros on Thursday signed first-round draft pick Delino DeShields Jr. and, we’re guessing, immediately phoned the Dodgers to see if they’d be interested in a trade — perhaps for a future Cy Young Award winner.…

I haven't watched Intervention in a couple of seasons
but my friend from high school told me this season there were two brothers from Palm Springs on heroin or something, and that he coached one of them in AYSO soccer a dozen years ago.
Matt Kemp just misses on more home runs than any player ive ever watched. He could easily have 28-30 homers this year.
God damn
Kemp is getting so unlucky the last 2 months. So much warning track power…If he was in Cinci, Coors, or Philly he’d have 25-28 homeruns by now.
"Stop exploding you cowards!!!"
He’ll be in Philly next week. Let’s see if he does.

Popcorn, cookies, ice cream, soft drinks, and coffee are free, and Dodger Dogs are free around the 5th inning or so.
Yeah, the Galaxy have a media meal
guarded by a list. I dunno who I have to do to get on that list

I almost never spend the $9, unless I am absolutely starving. I usually just grab some popcorn and maybe a Dodger Dog (for free) later.
$9

ya when my buddy was an intern last year we used to get free dogs at the 6th inning all the time

Damnit. This is why you cant give team extra outs. that dp had to be turned. Blake and Theriot need to switch on that alignment in that situation. Poor positioning by Torre/Schaefer that has a huge impact on the game.
Has Billingsley been throwing a change up?
What pitch did Billingsley almost allow a single to Correia?
Well now
Billingsley making up for all those scoreless innings with a cluster**** of an inning right here?
you had to know it was coming
I don’t believe in superstition, but I do believe that the moment fans are aware of a streak, is usually the same moment a player starts thinking on it, and the moment they’re about to have the wheels fall off.

There's also Chantal Akerman.
Criterion, if you’re familiar with the DVD company, has released superb DVD sets for 3 of the 4 directors.
My favorite of the bunch if Larisa Shepitko’s “Wings”. A touching story of a Russian war hero pilot pushed aside by a post-war bureaucracy. She yearns for one last victory.

Fuck this inning
2 hard hit balls that go for nothing. Kemp deserves at least a double so far. Fuck.
"Stop exploding you cowards!!!"
the thing most annoying about that
besides the fact that they just count for outs, of course, is that within 5 minutes, everyone will forget how hard Loney and Kemp hit those balls, and they’re just say how the Dodgers “couldn’t get it done in the clutch.”
it'd be really cool
if hit-tracker was able to keep track of fly balls that would have been home runs in other stadiums

Was that Chad's spot?
Damnit. I’m really fucking sick of our pitchers doing well enough and leaving the game in the mid 80s in pitches…I don’t care how good the bullpen is, Chad would have done just as well as Reed there. I know, I know, Reed may have gotten a hit if he were a bit luckier, but still, come the hell on, I can’t wait until torre is gone.
"Stop exploding you cowards!!!"
And look where it got us, right where most of us expected it to go anyway. Our bench sucks, there needs to be a realization of this.
"Stop exploding you cowards!!!"
Come on dude. Don’t blame Torre, you would have done the same thing.
by Michael White on Aug 5, 2010 8:55 PM PDT up reply actions
I don't doubt the bullpen
I just hate seeing Chad get taken out after only about 85 or so pitches. I think i’m just more frustrated that he got taken out and the pinch hitter couldn’t get on base (though not for lack of a hard hit ball).
"Stop exploding you cowards!!!"
the guy just can’t get out of the 6th inning. Not an ace at all.
