9/7/10 Minor League Report – The Minor League Season is almost over, but the Coverage Isn’t
With just 2 regular season minor league games left and only the Loons and Raptors making the playoffs, most people would think the Dodgers minor league coverage for the year is almost over. However, that is just not the case. After I get back from my vacation in Hawaii (during which time the coverage of the Dodgers minor league playoffs will be left up to Phil), I’ll start recapping each season for all the Dodgers minor league teams. I’ll also be providing fall and winter ball coverage throughout the off-season, and will of course be starting my Dodger prospect countdown shortly after the Dodger season ends. Hopefully that will keep everyone interested during the dark months of late fall and winter.
Rookie Ogden – In Garrett Gould’s final tune up before the playoffs, he got pounded for 10 hits in 5 innings. However, the news wasn’t all bad for the right-hander as he didn’t walk a batter, only allowed 3 runs to score, and struck out 7. All in all it wasn’t such a bad start. The Ogden bullpen then went on to allow just 1 hit over the final 3 innings, but the Raptors still ended up losing the meaningless game 5 to 3. At the plate, Leon Landry led the way with 3 hits in 4 at bats, and Blake Dean also chipped in with a couple of base knocks. Pedro Guerrero had the Raptors only other base hit of the night.

Looking forward to the offseason of MiLB coverage, Brandon. Very nice job this season by both you and Phil.
Agreed
Your coverage has been great and all that’s kept me interested in the Dodgers during this shitty season.
