Having another option that’s not AT&T is always nice.
Not so nice when Sprint gets bought out in six months.

Yesterday’s rumors made sense. “We will buy a fuckload of these. You introduce two phones, the 4S and the 5, and we get the 5 as an exclusive; you want the 5, you come to Sprint.” That makes sense.
“Here’s 20 billion dollars and we get nothing more than AT&T and Verizon already have?” That is crazy.

Verizon didn't get the iphone till last year
worked out pretty good for them.
Watch me all in flames, on a butterfly I ride
Because people hated — hated! — AT&T. People like Verizon’s network. That was the choice they were waiting for. I know plenty of people who held off on getting the iphone specifically because of the AT&T issue, and that issue was solved by Verizon.
Now that that choice exists, I don’t know if anybody is gonna be like, “Oh yes, Sprint! They’re the ones I want to hitch my wagon to.”

I don’t know if anybody is gonna be like, "Oh yes, Sprint! They’re the ones I want to hitch my wagon to."
A lot of people hate Verizon and want to go to Sprint. A lot of people are clutching at Sprint as their saviors. They are probably wrong, but good luck to them.
Watch me all in flames, on a butterfly I ride
If Sprint has unlimited data I’m probably switching. AT&T yanking every texting plan but the unlimited right before iMessenger came out really pissed me off.

Everyone on ATT should leave
anyone who stays deserves whatever torment they recieve. You could probably say the same about me and Verizon.

Dammit, since I have an ancient talk plan it’s still cheaper for me to stick with AT&T.

Sprint has the advantage if they sell it
that they have unlimited data plans for new customers whereas AT&T and Verizon don’t. (Unless you have a legacy plan that Verizon promises you that you will still get as long as sign on for another 2 years).
I think Apple
is having problems with w/e “REVOLUTIONARY”(ie something someone else already does but now done in an “apple” way) feature they wanted for the Iphone5.
Watch me all in flames, on a butterfly I ride
Sprint, AT&T and Verizon will sell them
Prices for the iPhone 4S are as follows: $199 for 16 gigabytes of storage, $299 for 32 GB, and $399 for 64 GB. There will be an iPhone 4 with 8 GB for $99. And there will be an iPhone 3GS for… free, with a two-year contract.
Preorders for the 4S start Oct. 7, delivery on the 14th.
Sprint gets it too! So a world phone on three out of four major networks.
Yep.

I find it hilarious
that instead of just being allowed to buy a 20 dollar sd card, apple is forcing users to pay them an extra one to two hundred dollars for more storage, and nobody will see a problem with it.

External storage is inelegant what can I say.
Plus you know that would be a 70 dollar Apple iStore card.

You make a great product, you deserve to make some money.
If you make an average product but have built up your brand that a majority of people need to have your specific product, you deserve to make some money.
If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.

The 4S will come in both black and white, starting at $199 for 16GB and $299 for the 32GB, but the big news is a new 64GB model coming in at a whopping $399. You’ll be able to pre-order this friday, October 7th, and it’ll start shipping on October 14th in the US, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, and Japan. Oh, and Apple is welcoming Sprint to the family here in the States.

Because if you have a large music collection, you can keep it all on your phone. The cloud eats battery life, which isn’t good to start with on the iPhone.

My music collection is pretty small
so I am thinking 16 GB is enough unless I plan to keep movies or something like that on it.
After I thoroughly washed my 16 GB iPhone 3G, I didn’t want to spend much on a new phone so I spent $50 on a refurbished iPhone 3G, but with only 8 GB. I really haven’t missed the extra space much, other than having to rotate music playlists.

Buck O’Neil was a great man. This is known. If you haven’t read "The Soul of Baseball", it might change your life, a little, for the better. It did mine
The museum he helped found, to honor the Negro Leagues, can use some money. For Buck’s birthday – you can donate a $100 bucks and get a plaque. I know a $100 dollars is a lot for many folks, if you can’t you can’t, but if you can…do it for Buck, I am sure he’d appreciate it
I dedicated my plaque to my 3 nephews. They are getting the plaque + a copy of the book for Christmas
