Webster’s 10 H/9 and .7 HR/9 along with a 5.04 ERA and his lowest K/9 are alarming once he got to AA.

There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers/Lakers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants/Warriors country, and damned proud of it.

Webster

Has 2 plus pitches now..and possible could add 1 more..he may b\end up better than Lee.
Not bad for a converted SS.
Eovaldi may be in MLB but ceiling is not as high..as Lee,Webster.

With the Cy Young coming your way today I don’t think we will be voting today so here is the tally so far:
Webster 28
Eovaldi 20
Gould 9
Reed 4

Tiebreaker vote between Webster and Eo?

by Michael White on Nov 17, 2011 7:55 AM PST up reply actions

make them 2 an 3 and let’s vote for #4

by G.Scott on Nov 17, 2011 7:57 AM PST up reply actions

I say you have a runoff vote for 3 (essentially with people who voted for Gould and Reed casting the deciding votes) with the loser at 4. Then move on to 5. JMO

by Michael White on Nov 17, 2011 8:02 AM PST up reply actions

Don’t see the point, Xeifrank can run the simulation but I think the odds of Eovaldi taking 11 of those 13 votes would be below 2% and not worth it.

I’d still do a number three vote because you are taking 28 votes off the table with Webby and Gould could do that by snagging at least 20 of the 28.

true enough

i was thinking about skipping straight to #4 until i saw that Gould had 9 votes. I am not inclined to do a run off, so am hereby declaring Webster as the #2 prospect.

that being said, i have no problem doing runoffs in the future if the vote is close. I just think 8 votes is a big enough difference in this case
