Braun's MVP is tainted - take it back

So what do you think? Should they rescind Braun's MVP and give it to Kemp? Shades of the 90's. If he doesn't clear his name then they should do what they did in college football but in this case give the award to our beast (who I should add was robbed since he bet Ryan in basically EVERY category). Oh also he deserver it by being on a far crappier team too.

I'm all for giving Matt Kemp being MVP

but I’m not convinced that the title should be given back. For some reason, I do not believe Braun used whatever he used for enhancing his performance. I believe he used whatever he used for medical reasons. Did it contribute to his performance enhancing? Possibly. But the idea of giving the title to Matt Kemp starts to sound like he’s getting Braun’s sloppy seconds. I’m not against the idea and would not be objective if it was done, but what’s done is done, and Kemp can use this as a motivation to perform even better this next season and give us a 40/40 season.

Aside from that though, I do hope Braun can clear his name by proving he didn’t use it for enhancing his game and did it for medical reasons (and possibly unknowingly as well.) Guess this is one of those things that we’d have to let play out and see what the decision would be.

(Time to do some researching and fan reaction at Mil’s SB NATION blog site!)

Braun's sloppy seconds...

thats a pretty distrubing thought, given what the rumor is that prompted the positive test

I do believe that he unknowingly took whatever it was, but if the positive holds up, he definitely did enhance his performance, so the suspension will be upheld

I would wait for the facts to come out

and not rush to judgment, eh? Also, keep in mind, Braun had a better OPS, slugging %, wOBA, wRC+, ISO, and batting average. So Braun was more than worthy, and this is coming from a Dodger fan who loves Kemp and is glad that the Dodgers locked him up.
