The Dodgers are announcing their minor league rosters, and we finally have all of them.
Albuquerque Isotopes
Here is the press release with the Istopes' team roster, and here is a PDF of the entire roster
In summary:
Pitchers: John Ely, Carlos Monasterios, Scott Elbert, Jon Link, Travis Schichting, Ramon Troncoso, Ramon Colon, Dana Eveland, Jon Huber, Randy Keisler, Tim Redding, Merkin Valdez, Oscar Villarreal
Catchers: J.D. Closser, Damaso Espino, Keter Collado (DL)
Infielders: John Lindsay, Russ Mitchell, Justin Sellers, Dee Gordon, Juan Castro
Outfielders: Trent Oeltjen, Jerry Sands, Trayvon Robinson, Jamie Hoffmann
Everyone here is as expected, excect for Jerry Sands who I thought might end up starting the year in AA again. He must have proved that he deserved to be in AAA in spring training, however, because he'll join the Istopes in 2011. he could have a huge year at the dish. Dee Gordon was another player who some people might start in AA, but he'll also join Albuquerque. When you combine Dee and Sands with Travyon Robinson, this team has prospects than any other AAA team in recent memory.
Chattanooga Lookouts
Here is the Lookouts team roster
Pitchers: Michael Antonini, Rubby De La Rosa, Nate Eovaldi, Javy Guerra, Steven Jackson, Josh Lindblom, Aaron Miller (DL), Justin Miller, Joe Newby, David Pfeiffer, Stuard Momeranz, Will Savage, Javier Solano, Cole St. Clair, Josh Wall, Chris Withrow
Catchers: Alex Garabedian, Jessie Mier, Matt Wallach
Infielders: Pedro Baez, Elian Herrera, Ivan Ochoa, Wilberto Ortiz, Jaime Pedroza, Corey Smith
Outfielders: Brad Coon, Kyle Russell, Alfredo Silverio, Scott Van Slyke
This team has a good mix of prospects, but it also has 15 players on the team that are at least 25 years old. The team is mostly what I predicted, with the exception of Eovaldi and Josh Lindblom. Lindblom is returning to AA after a poor season with the Isotopes in 2010, so hopefully he can regain his confidence in the bullpen in the more pitcher friendly league. I'm not sure why Aaron Miller is listed on the DL, but hopefully his injury isn't serious. Corey Smith had a great Spring, but returns to AA despite being almost 29 years old.
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
Here is the Quakes press release with the team roster
In summary, the team is:
Starting Pitchers: Ethan Martin, Allen Webster, Matt Magill, JonMichael Redding, Greg Wilborn
Relief Pitchers: Luis Vasquez, Steven Ames, Scott Nestor, Felix Romero, Steve Smith, Jordan Roberts, Andy Suiter, Josh Walter
Catchers: J.T. Wise, Griff Erickson, and BJ LaRosa
Infielders: Jake Lemmerman, Tony Delmonico (who will also play some catcher), Joe Becker, Travis Denker, Austin Gallagher, Rafael Ynoa, and Pedro Guerrero
Outfielders: Blake Smith, Angelo Songco, Nick Buss, Ramon Jean
Overall this team should be much more fun to watch than last year's 66ers, as the only the relievers look a little weak. I got most of the starting pitchers right in my guess, except for Nate Eovaldi who is apparently ticketed for AA. It also looks like Brian Cavazos-Galvez will be in AA, which is good news for the soon to be 24 year old. The one big name prospect who I didn't predict to be on this team in Jake Lemmerman, who will jump to HiA from Ogden where he was the MVP. He could have another big season in the hitter friendly California League.
Great Lakes Loons
Here is the press release with the team roster
In summary, here it is:
Pitchers: Logan Bawcom, Robert Boothe, Pete Budkevics, Raul Burgos, Ryan Christenson, Derek Cone, Garrett Gould, Zack Lee, Bret Montgomery, Red Patterson, Timothy Sexton, Brant Stickel and Shawn Tolleson.
Catchers: Steve Cilladi (DL), Steve Domecus and Michael Pericht.
Infielders: Jesse Bosnik, Blake Dean, Casio Grider, Chris Henderson, Bryant Hernandez, Chris Jacobs (DL) and Christian Lara.
Outfielders: Nick Akins, Jon Garcia, Leon Landry and Roman Pena.
This isn't too far off my my prediction, as it looks like I had the entire starting rotation picked correctly as well as the closer Shawn Tolleson. For the hitters I missed on a few, but I did have Landy, Garcia, Domecus, Pericht, Jacobs, and Bosnik in my prediction.
In terms of surprises, I thought Lemmerman would be on this team but this could mean he starts the year in HiA. I was hoping that Scott Schebler, would make this team, but give he only got a few at bats last year he'll probably play in a Rookie League in 2011. I'm always surprised by the players that are demoted back to the Loons after playing in either HiA or AA, and this year those players are Sexton, Boothe, and Christian Lara.
Notable Prospects/Players Missing from the above Rosters
Brian Cavazos- Galvez, Steven Caseres, Wilkin De La Rosa, Geison Aguasviva, James Adkins, Robert Coyle
