Notes (By Brandon):

- Per Mattingly, it sounds like Furcal is getting close to a rehab assignment.  Dylan Hernandez chimes in by saying that the assignment will come in the middle of next week, and that he Furcal thinks he will need 3 to 4 games.

- In case you missed it, Justin Verlander threw a no-hitter today.  The only runner to reach base against him was a walk by J.P. Arencibia, who was then erased on a double play.

- Andre Ethier will attempt to tie Willie Davis for the longest hitting streak in Dodger history at 31 games.

- I finally found out that the reason that Chris Withrow was on the DL was due to sore ribs.  He is scheduled to return from the DL and start next Friday.

- Chris Young had "trouble getting loose" before the game, and was a last minute scratch.  25 year old right-hander Dillon Gee will make the spot start.
