Dodgers Week 11 In Review: Matt Kemp Still On Fire
The Dodgers lost four of seven games for the week, ending the week one game worse than they started, six and a half games out in the National League West. The Dodgers did finish up a long road trip through Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and Colorado at 5-5.
Dodger Batter of the Week: Matt Kemp continued his romp through the National League, hitting .400/.464/1.080 with four home runs. Honorable mention goes to the Midget Militia, as Jamey Carroll (.556/.600/.722) and Aaron Miles (.529/.556/..588) each hit over .500
Dodger Pitcher of the Week: Ted Lilly and Rubby De La Rosa split this award, as each made two good starts during the week. For Rubby, it was his first two major league starts, and he overcame an early setback in each contest to last through five innings.

Mav's win Mav's win Mav's win
Sunday was a good day.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Loved it
Happy for Dirk and Kidd and Chandler (I know his uncle). The better team won. This postseason brought me back to the NBA. Shit has drama.
Hopefully more NBA will be played in 2011 so it doesn’t lose all these fans that came back.

Watched the first half
Listened to the second half on the drive home. Happy for Dirk, that was a sweet series overall. I think Miami will end up winning a title or two soon, but maybe not the 8 LeBron predicted at the preseason pep rally.

Trout on fire, Angels blow, wonder how long before they give him a shot

Know they tossed GMJ to the curb, would they do the same to Wells

I can't imagine they would do that this early

Muppet Masters kicking June ass. Last time our middle infield had plus 1.100 OPS in a week?

Furcal and Kent probably did it a few times.

Barca Blaugranes- SB Nation's FC Barcelona blog
Merkin dealing, in a 16 – 14 game he pitched two scoreless innings.
Who gets player of the night – Mitchell with four hits, home run, five RBI’s or Trayvon Robinson with five hits, home run, but only four rbi’s:)
Sands could net two hits. What a loser.

But he’s not dropping flies in our outfield, and throwing almost to the cut-off man on a hop.
Baseball is a game, and games are supposed to be fun.
that’s a little rough and probably not fair
JP was a good enough OF if he hit better and is a good enough hitter if he played SS
by Hollywood Joe on Jun 13, 2011 6:07 AM PDT up reply actions
SS is the OF
but yeah, nobody gets excited about that line
by Hollywood Joe on Jun 13, 2011 6:06 AM PDT up reply actions
meant to say
SS is not the OF, whole lotta positional difference between the two

As far as I can tell it took jordan 7 years to win a championship
when he did he was 29. LJ has played for what, 8 years and is 26? Interesting. As far as I can tell it took jordan 7 years just to get to the finals?
You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view--until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.
Took quite a while yea
Was a time even MJ got crap for never being able to win the big game, how he was soft and would never carry his team to a championship.
So much for that.
no one has been told to witness Steve Nash either

Seemingly for the first time ever an add on a website is something i'd like to get
The Gillette Razor on the sides here looks way better than the crappy ones I use currently, lol.

I shaved yesterday and it missed all the really short hair on my face
Time for some new razors, I think i’ll give these a try.

No reason to think Kemp will stop mashing.
Arroyo gives up a ton of bombs and a lefty on Wednesday in a day game.
Was that your line?

it’s a 6 team work league. the hitters on that team were legit. heh, the other three outs were two comebackers to me and an infield fly rule. I accounted for all 21 outs :)
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
I’m glad we faced you before you hit your stride. We’re in first place. Woo!

Ha, if I don’t come out of the game after 4 to give the other guy work we win that game 7-X. It was fun either way, and you had a good game yesterday too.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
I’m putting up a mini-Thome line of .200/.333/.400. I’m having a blast getting back into the thick of things.
"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great."
It’s a fun league. Every team has at least one good pitcher, so it’s a challenge to hit, but they aren’t current college guys or anything to where it’s impossible. I’m putting up a .400/.571/.600. I think. single, double, bb, hbp in 7 AB. Yesterday I hit the ball well but right at the CF, struck out, then just missed a slow curve and lined out to the 2B. Frustrating day.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
to where it’s impossible
Says you. You don’t have to face that one guy with 28 Ks in 11 IP.
"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great."
he needs to do it more
though watching him blow away Tulo with 100 mph was awesoke

Just wondering if anyone else noticed this
When Loney hit his Slam yesterday, he had a both hands on the bat in the follow-through.
I think all his other ABs had him doing the one-handed follow-through.
I guess this goes with what D2X said about him not sticking with one stance. I just wonder how many of his HRs have had him keeping both hands on the bat.
if that even matters.

The Loney slam yesterday was hilarious
I was at a party for my nephew’s high school graduation, and when Matt Kemp walked I thought the inning was over. I just started laughing when Loney hit the home run, and was having a good time with my brother and uncle saying “I don’t know if you’ve heard this, but his days as a starter are numbered.” Then, Loney later doubled. Awesome.
