- The Rockies are pondering calling up former Dodgers unsigned draftee Alex White, who was part of the return from Cleveland for Ubaldo Jimenez. Manager Jim Tracy is pondering a six-man rotation, or White could simply replace the struggling Jason Hammel, wrote Jim Armstrong of the Denver Post.

I guess they think Gwynn shouldn’t be asked to try RF, nor Kemp either. That must be it – Kemp is now a vet star, and can’t be asked to play out of his regular position.

Well, that probably precludes any Dodger candinates.
A reminder of the criteria for the next GM as laid out by owner Tom Ricketts, who will conduct the search: a commitment to player development, a stronger analytical background, and someone who’s been in a winning culture and has a track record of success.

Yeah, MLB stacks its pregame stories, similar in a way to the StoryStream on SB Nation or the regional sites, such that there are multiple stories on one page. Clicking on a link for one of those stories on MLB.com would have made it the lead story on the page filled with all of them.

The Dodgers pounded Jason Hammel out of the rotation. Alex White will indeed start Tuesday for Colorado.
