so Mitchell is recalled

any chance Sands comes up today as well? Give Andre another day off?

Pretty sure it’s just Mitchell, Gordon, Eveland today

this one game in pitt is shitty

would imagine callups might be in spurts cuz of the weird travel situation?

Minor league seasons still going. More players likely coming starting Tuesday in DC.

Maybe a catcher gets called up this weekend in Atlanta.

Fed has become a lock with his play recently (if he wasn’t already). Patience is off-the-hook. He’s become one of my favorite prospects.

Dodgers traded awy their future. /SomeYodel@Fangraphs

by Xeifrank on Sep 1, 2011 10:31 AM PDT up reply actions

Yep

Those are the only three moves, now announced by the Dodgers.

by Eric Stephen on Sep 1, 2011 10:22 AM PDT up reply actions

Sands, DeJesus, Troncoso, Ely, Hoffman later?

by Lincoln Kupchak on Sep 1, 2011 10:05 AM PDT reply actions

Sands & IDJ for sure. The other guys I’m less confident in coming up.

by silverwidow on Sep 1, 2011 10:08 AM PDT up reply actions

Ely is a lock, if only to have a long man.

Whatever happened to the German?

by kinbote on Sep 1, 2011 10:20 AM PDT up reply actions

German is now a terrible pitcher. He was DFA’d a long time ago but stayed in Albuquerque.

by silverwidow on Sep 1, 2011 10:20 AM PDT up reply actions

is he like the stapler guy in Office Space

They just stop sending paychecks and hope he gets the hint but he keeps showing up…

There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers/Lakers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants/Warriors country, and damned proud of it.

Have they given up on Troncoso?

by Lincoln Kupchak on Sep 1, 2011 10:22 AM PDT up reply actions

Same case as German: terrible.

Randy Keisler with a smooth 4.97.

Keisler pitched the only very good pitching performance for the Isotopes that I saw this year. Did it in a game where Broxton was rehabbing.

They should bring up Alberto Bastardo just cause he has a cool name.

Not as cool

I like the part in the Velez link

about how he played the entire game with a misspelled jersey, and nobody noticed because it’s Velez.

They didn’t not trade Carroll just so he can sit on the bench.

Miles/Gwynn/Ellis an interesting 5/6/7 today.

I just cannot fathom how we ended up with Miles batting 5th.
