I believe they face the Brewers in the DS?
I also wouldn’t be surprised by that. Although Central teams have a knack of absolutely choking in the playoffs.
remember when we won like 14 out of 16?
they where going 15 for 16 while we whre doing that. Ian Kennedy is a “ace”. Daniel Hudson is also rather good. Justin Upton is as good as anyone. Don’t sleep on this team.

3 games over .500… two major award frontrunners/co-frontrunners…
When this season began… I honestly had no idea.
Thank you, Dodgers, for one of the most unanticipated and most fun season.
Oh, and fuck the Giants, McCourts, and Gerald Parra.

When I saw that they FUCKING TIED IT
I couldn’t believe it. 7-0 in the 8th inning. They were really thinking "fuck the sox!
Thanks, Dodgers
It was a weird season, but it was fun. We’ll see ya next year.

After how bad the season started this was a fun ending
Cy Young Kershaw and MVP Kemp and a Boston choke, so good
Matt Kemp failed to play 162 games this year.

I can't say it has been a boring year.
But it was interesting. I had a great time sharing stories, swapping infromation and going off on tangents. There must be a backlog of OT threads in the TBLA locker. Thanks for the fun.

Baseball is a game, and games are supposed to be fun.
Because it is up to the writers, I’m not holding my breath. I will be pleasantly surprised if the writers aren’t stupid and end up voting for Kemp.

Ryan Braun is a legitimate MVP tho
voting for him is so not stupid

I didn't say that voting for Braun was stupid. I just said that voting for Kemp is not stupid.

With his talent and work ethic I think he can have a similar season next year if not better. He really had no protection until we got Rivera. If we can get a legitimate middle of the order bat this offseason he will continue to put up MVP type numbers.

This year def was one to remember
I thought this year was going to be sad and boring. Thanks to Kemp and Kershaw and a few other youngsters I’ll probably remember this season more than most with the exception of 2008 and 2009.
What a fucking day of baseball. This is why this is the best sport…nothing quite like the drama we saw tonight.
Here’s to Kershaw and Kemp taking home the hardware that they truly deserve.
They just did. Kemp and the Kid were given hardware right after the game.

I'm trying to be objective here
but I am having trouble understanding how Braun could possibly beat Kemp for MVP. Unless success of the their respective teams is all that matters, of course.
it's because Kemp lacks the ability to make our other guys better.
How he could develop that ability and why does it matter???, that i don’t know.
No kidding
The fact that Kemp’s numbers are better (except for average) on a line up much less intimidating than the Brewers (who get to play half their games in Milwaukee, obviously) should speak volumes.
But it probably won’t..
Winning team will tilt some voters Braun’s way. Having Prince on the same team may tilt some voters Kemp’s way.
I wouldn’t go out on a limb for either guy; I think you could make a realistic argument for both of them. I think it will be a very close vote. But that’s just my opinion.

winning team helps for votes
but Braun leads in all advanced metrics…OBP and OPS but also wOBA, wRC+, ISO

rotoworld
Crawford actually made a decent play on the ball, but just couldn’t hold it in his glove. His throw to the plate to try and nab Nolan Reimold was a fraction of a second too late. Not a good night, and a fitting end to a disastrous first season in Boston that saw Crawford hit .255/.289/.405 while playing bad defense in left field (he entered tonight with a -0.3 dWAR) and stealing a career-low (for a full season) 18 bases. Now 30 years old, Boston can only hope it is not a harbinger of things to come for Crawford heading into the final six years of the monster contract he signed last offseason.
*sigh*
Too much to hope for new announcers with a new station next year?
