Open Election Results Thread

Good morning everyone. Something yesterday. A whole bunch of people voted, their votes were counted, and around 9:55 it was official:

Barack Obama was re-elected as President of the United States of America

Nate Silver was able to accurately predict all 50 states, including Florida which still hasn't been called but has a slight lead for Obama with every precinct reporting.

Diane Feinstein retained her Senate seat. The Democrats took LA county House seats, with the OC going Republican.

The California propositions went as follows:

Yes on 30 - Taxes for Education

No on 31 - State budget

No on 32 - Political contributions from employee paychecks

No on 33 - Auto insurance

No on 34 - Repealing Death Penalty

Yes on 35 - Harsher Penalties for Human Trafficing

Yes on 36 - Three Strikes Law

No on 37 - GMO Food Labeling

No on 38 - Taxes for Education

Yes on 39 - Out of State Business Tax

Yes on 40 - Redistricting

Locally, Jackie Lacey won District Attorney.

The Measures went as follows:

El Monte's sugar tax lost

LA Assessor will not be an appointed position

The condom in porn measure passed
