The Dodgers came into Tuesday with just three errors in nine spring games, tied with Houston for fewest miscues in the National League during spring training. However, on Tuesday against the Rockies the Dodgers committed four errors en route to a 5-2 loss to Colorado.
Jerry Hairston Jr. made two of the errors, at shortstop, the position at which he is expected to be the primary backup to Dee Gordon this season.
Gordon, meanwhile, reached base on a ground ball to shortstop in the fourth inning, the second time he has beaten out a relatively routine grounder to short this spring.
The Dodgers fell to 6-2-2 in Cactus League play.
