Stay connected for news and updates

It's a beautiful day for a ballgame...

The Dodgers are in Peoria for the second time this spring, facing the San Diego Padres. Today is a bullpen game for the Dodgers, with Jamey Wright starting but likely to pitch one, maybe two innings. Other pitchers who made the trip are Ronald Belisario, Josh Lindblom, Javy Guerra, Scott Elbert, Scott Rice, and minor leaguers Angel Sanchez, Logan Bawcom, Bret Montgomery, and Francisco Felix.

Wright, Belisario, Guerra, and Elbert all pitched yesterday.

Casey Kelly starts for the Padres, and is scheduled to be followed on the mound by Alex Hinshaw, Dale Thayer, and Micah Owings.

Starting Lineups

Juan Uribe was originally in the starting lineup, but was scratched after getting hit by a batted ball in the groin during workouts. Josh Fields, the leading candidate for the final bench spot, will start at third base and bat seventh.
