The Dodgers play their home Cactus League opener on Tuesday afternoon, hosting the San Francisco Giants at Camelback Ranch. Jerry Sands, Juan Uribe, Matt Treanor, and Jerry Hairston Jr. will all be making their 2012 Cactus League debuts.
Ted Lilly makes his first start on the mound for the Dodgers, and is scheduled to be followed by Jamey Wright, Michael Antonini, Ramon Troncoso, and Josh Lindblom. A pair of pitchers from the minor league side, John Ely (wearing No. 92 today) and Cole St. Clair (wearing No. 96), will suit up for the Dodgers today as well.
Barry Zito starts for the Giants today, and will be followed on the mound by Wilmin Rodriguez, Heath Hembree (rated the Giants' third-best prospect by Baseball America), Shawn Sanford, Steve Edlefsen, and Jean Machi.
