With Friday's series opener at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies, the Dodgers embark on a 10-game road trip, one that will take them through Denver, Philadelphia, and Seattle. The Dodgers have had mixed results over the last five years when they have had road trips of 10 games or more.
In seven of their last nine extended road trips, the Dodgers have won at least half the games.

Red Hot Cargo...Again
When the Dodgers last came to Colorado at the end of April, Carlos Gonzalez was red hot heading into that series, hitting .391/.481/.913 with four home runs and 11 RBI in his previous six games. All Gonzalez did against the Dodgers was go 5-for-13 with three home runs and seven RBI in the three-game series.
Heading into this series, Gonzalez has six home runs and 10 RBI in his last five games, and is 13 for his last 24 with five straight multi-hit games.
Tonight's Pitching Matchup
Chris Capuano has allowed seven earned runs in his last seven starts, winning six of them, including allowing one run in seven innings to the Rockies on May 11 at Dodger Stadium.
Jamie Moyer was scheduled to start for the Rockies on Friday, but thanks to the pesky rule of needing to be on a major league roster to be able to pitch that won't happen. Moyer was designated for assignment earlier in the week, and Josh Outman will get the call for Colorado tonight. Outman has pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief over the last three weeks, never pitching more than an inning at a time.
The Dodgers will to recreate Outman's Denny's experience from earlier this season.
