PurpleDonutEaters Buries Hollywood Bears, Makes Early-Season Statement

PurpleDonutEaters demolished Hollywood Bears 107.42 - 71.64 while also putting up the second-highest score of the week. It was an epic beatdown, and the 35.78-point margin of victory is the second-highest in the league this season. Hollywood Bears was done in by a significant drop in scoring from last week's 115.72 - 105.38 win against Xeiminators. To make matters worse, Hollywood Bears got zero points from Antonio Gates. PurpleDonutEaters (2-0, 208.84 points) shifts into second place and Hollywood Bears (1-1, 187.36 points) goes to sixth place.

PurpleDonutEaters Smooth Moves

  • C.J. Spiller put up 29.00 points, which was the fourth-highest score in the league this week.
  • Cam Newton ranked seventh in the league in scoring with 25.22 points.
  • Made a good move in sitting Shonn Greene this week. He brought in 2.30 points, the fewest of any RB on the team.
  • Reggie Wayne scored 13.10 points, the ninth-highest WR score in the league this week.
  • PurpleDonutEaters had 6 of their 9 starters exceed their projected points.

Hollywood Bears Regret Tracker

  • Left Brent Celek on the bench, where he scored 15.70 points and beat his projected point total by 189.7%, the seventh-highest percentage in the league this week.
  • Should have started Jake Locker, who underachieved, but still had more points than the starting QB with 12.06 against a projected 16.17.
  • At the QB position, Hollywood Bears got outscored 25.22 - 10.54 by PurpleDonutEaters.
  • 5 of the starters on Hollywood Bears scored less than their projected points.
  • Left Antonio Gates in the starting lineup, where he didn't score any points.

Daunte's Inferno registered the highest score in the league this week and took down The Cook Supremacy 114.46 - 87.00. Daunte's Inferno beat expectations and put up 12.3% more than their projected 101.97 points, while The Cook Supremacy fell short of their projections and scored only 86.3% of a projected 100.84. Vernon Davis led The Cook Supremacy with 19.30 points while Matthew Stafford racked up 13.20. Daunte's Inferno (1-1, 209.98 points) moves into fourth place and The Cook Supremacy (0-2, 170.00 points) goes to last place.

Daunte's Inferno Smooth Moves

  • Victor Cruz put up 23.90 points, which was the 10th-highest score in the league this week.
  • Pierre Thomas, who was picked up by Daunte's Inferno, scored 14.30 points against a projected 6.79, topping his projection by 110.6%.
  • Vincent Jackson had the fifth-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 18.80 points.
  • With 13.00 points, Tony Gonzalez had the fifth-highest score of any TE in the league this week.
  • Miles Austin scored 12.30 points, the 10th-highest WR score in the league this week.

The Cook Supremacy Regret Tracker

  • The 6.00 points scored by the Miami Dolphins Defense did not reach their projected point total of 9.98. They was just picked up this week by The Cook Supremacy.
  • 7 of the starters on The Cook Supremacy underperformed versus their projections.
  • It was a poor performance for The Cook Supremacy at WR, where they were outdone by Daunte's Inferno 55.00 - 21.10.
  • The 5.30 points scored by Eric Decker was just 50.7% of his 10.45-point projection.
  • With 9.50 points versus a projected 12.48, Stevan Ridley scored only 76.1% of his projected point total.

Clever Team Name met their projections and put up 4.3% more than their projected 99.35 points, while dodgerpreacher fell just short of hitting their projections and got 92.6% of a projected 100.28. The Green Bay Packers Defense led dodgerpreacher with 19.00 points while Alex Smith racked up 17.74. Adding insult to injury, dodgerpreacher got zero points from Stephen Hill. Clever Team Name (2-0, 194.62 points) moves into third place while dodgerpreacher (1-1, 205.08 points) goes to fifth place.

  • Hakeem Nicks ranked sixth in the league in scoring and beat his scoring projection by 197.4%, the sixth-highest percentage in the league.
  • Michael Vick ranked ninth in the league in scoring with 24.24 points.
  • Picked up the Seattle Seahawks Defense, which beat their scoring projection by 121.9%, with 17.00 points against a projected 7.66.
  • Jimmy Graham scored 13.10 points to rank fourth among TEs in the league this week.
  • Clever Team Name won despite having only 4 of their 9 starters exceed their projected points.

dodgerpreacher Regret Tracker

  • Should have started Dan Carpenter, who underachieved, but still had more points than the starting K with 5.00 against a projected 7.45.
  • It was not a good week for dodgerpreacher at TE, where they were beaten 13.10 - 5.80.
  • Even though dodgerpreacher lost, only 4 of their 9 starters scored less than their projected points.

Jim Harbaugh Savior Snatches One from Ridgemont Wolves

Jim Harbaugh Savior picked up 24.40 points from Willis McGahee and 20.70 from Arian Foster to defeat Ridgemont Wolves 98.26 - 71.74. Jim Harbaugh Savior came into the Monday night game facing a 6.54-point deficit, but scored 44.56 for the comeback. Jim Harbaugh Savior hit their projections and put up 5.4% more points than projected (93.24). Ridgemont Wolves scored only 75.1% of a projected 95.55 points. Ridgemont Wolves suffered a drop in scoring from last week's 99.74 - 83.00 win against The Cook Supremacy. Ridgemont Wolves (1-1, 171.48 points) winds up in eighth place while Jim Harbaugh Savior (2-0, 234.22 points) remains in first place.

Jim Harbaugh Savior Smooth Moves

  • Willis McGahee beat his scoring projection by a matchup-leading 176.8% and scored the eighth-most points in the league with 24.40.
  • With 20.70 points, Arian Foster ranked sixth in scoring among all RBs in the league this week.
  • Jason Hanson exceeded scoring projections by 111.1%, with 16.00 points against a projected 7.58.
  • Jim Harbaugh Savior was still able to pull out a win with only 4 of their 9 starters exceeding their projected points.
  • Both of the RBs starting for Jim Harbaugh Savior exceeded their point expectations.

Ridgemont Wolves Regret Tracker

  • Did not start Mark Ingram, who beat his scoring projection with 11.30 points against a projected 5.24.
  • The RBs on Ridgemont Wolves let them down, getting outgunned by the RBs on Jim Harbaugh Savior 45.10 - 11.80.

4downcheeseheads got the highest player point total in the league this week from Reggie Bush (31.70) and beat Houston Tricycles 103.90 - 96.00. 4downcheeseheads met their projections and put up 0.4% more points than projected (103.53). Houston Tricycles scored 100.0% of a projected 96.03 points. Houston Tricycles was led by Trent Richardson with 26.50 points and A.J. Green who scored 11.80. 4downcheeseheads (1-1, 186.36 points) moves into seventh place while Houston Tricycles (0-2, 195.34 points) goes to 10th place.

4downcheeseheads Smooth Moves

  • Reggie Bush scored the most points in the league and beat his scoring projection by 137.6%, the highest percentage of any player in the matchup.
  • Mike Wallace scored 13.40 points, the eighth-highest WR score in the league this week.

Dwayne Bowe amassed 22.20 points, an upgrade on his projected 7.31, as Driving Ms. McCourt got past Xeiminators 94.26 - 74.64. Driving Ms. McCourt hit their projections and put up 3.2% more than their projected 91.31 points, while Xeiminators failed to meet expectations and got just 83.8% of a projected 89.08. Xeiminators was done in by a substantial drop in scoring from last week's 115.72 - 105.38 loss against Hollywood Bears. On top of the loss, Xeiminators got goose eggs from both Greg Jennings and Aaron Hernandez. Driving Ms. McCourt (1-1, 166.60 points) moves into ninth place while Xeiminators (0-2, 180.02 points) winds up in 11th place.

Driving Ms. McCourt Smooth Moves

  • Philip Rivers led the matchup in scoring with 23.26 points.
  • Dwayne Bowe ranked third in the league in scoring among WRs this week with 22.20 points.
  • The 16.50 points scored by Frank Gore was the eighth-highest score of any RB in the league this week.
  • Rob Gronkowski scored 13.50 points to rank third among TEs in the league this week.

Xeiminators Regret Tracker

  • Xeiminators tried to fight through 2 of their 9 starters getting zeros, but could not overcome it.
