Fanfest Nightmare if Waiting for Autograph

Stay connected for news and updates

The weather was perfect for having to wait in line for 6 hours to get an autograph. If it was a hot day than I could see tempers flaring up. The line was so long all I know is there were thousands of people waiting for autographs with memorabilia in hand. Obviously Dodger blue planning committee did not count for thousands of fans to come out because there wasn't a restroom or food trucks close by the autograph line. When you finally entered with a wristband given the lines were so finangled that no one could find what line to wait in even though they had a colored bracelet. We got inside only to find that we had to wait another 3 hours for an autograph. The kid in front of me was so sick with a fever/coughing I felt bad for him and the mothers with strollers trying to find their line for chosen player. It boils down to if you are going to treat your fans to a fan fest than you need better planning. There wasn't enough space for autograph lines in the area chosen. Additionally, the games should have been in a whole different area. There was too much confusion for the fans. I saw many fans leave frustrated over the whole thing. My motto is if you can't do it right than don't do it at all. Remember this is all about pumping up the spirit for the forthcoming year. Thanks to Cruz who had class by posing for a photo even after complaining to him about the long wait. He is a true example of a trophy player. Oh, can't leave this out evidently there were t shirts given to the fans that looks like no one knew about at least the fans in the autograph line.
