NLCS Game 1: Zack Greinke vs. Cardinals

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

The Dodgers' Game 1 starter has done well against the Cardinals in his career during the regular season. But in two playoff starts two years ago, not so much.

Dodgers starter Zack Greinke will make his second start of the season against the Cardinals on Friday night in Game 1 of the NLCS at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Greinke out-dueled Adam Wainwright on Aug. 5 in St. Louis, and drove in what proved to be the winning run with a single.

He is 8-3 with a 3.10 ERA in 12 regular season games against the Cardinals in his career, including 10 starts, with 58 strikeouts and 14 walks in 69⅔ innings. Greinke is also 3-1 with a 2.28 ERA at Busch Stadium.

But in the 2011 NLCS while with the Brewers, Greinke got tagged by St. Louis for 11 runs in 11⅔ innings in two starts.

Here are the individual numbers for Cardinals on the NLCS roster against Greinke in his career:
