Look for contact galore from the Dodgers in Game 1, as their starting lineup is 12-for-44 (.273) with four doubles, two home runs and just six strikeouts against Kelly.

Corona native and former UC Riverside Highlander Joe Kelly gets the nod for the Cardinals against the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS on Friday night in St. Louis.

Kelly is making his fourth career start against the Dodgers and his fifth career appearance. He is 1-1 with a 3.72 ERA with 10 strikeouts and eight walks in 19... innings against them.

In 2013, Kelly has faced the Dodgers twice. He struck out six in three innings in a relief appearance on May 25 at Dodger Stadium, but also allowed two runs and five hits, including a home run by Adrian Gonzalez. At Busch Stadium on Aug. 6 Kelly walked two and only struck out one, but he also pitched into the sixth inning and allowed only run to pick up the win against Clayton Kershaw.
