Juan Uribe contract details

With 163 more games at the hot corner, Uribe would have the fourth-most games played at third base by a Los Angeles Dodger.

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers on Tuesday finalized the two-year, $15 million contract for third baseman Juan Uribe, part of a quartet of moves finished off by the team on Christmas Eve.

"Juan was a major player in our success last season," Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said on Tuesday. "His play at third base, leadership in the clubhouse and clutch hitting helped the club immensely."

Colletti said the Dodgers were aggressive early in the offseason with Uribe, but the two sides didn't reach an agreement until after the winter meetings. Colletti cited Uribe's strong influence in the clubhouse, specifically his relationship with Yasiel Puig, as a factor in Uribe's return.

Uribe will be paid a signing bonus of $2 million, then will receive salaries of $6.5 million in both 2014 and 2015, per Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. He will also receive $1 million in 2014 as a deferred signing bonus from his previous three-year, $21 million contract with Los Angeles.

Along with Uribe, the Dodgers on Tuesday finalized contracts for relief pitchers J.P. Howell, Chris Perez and Jamey Wright. There are three Dodgers free agents remaining: Chris Capuano, Carlos Marmol and Michael Young.

The Dodgers now have $218.675 million committed to 21 players in 2014, and have 40 players on the 40-man roster.
